Awful, awful, awful match :tape: I want my 2.5 hours back :sobbing:

Greta should be ashamed of herself... 12 DF, woeful 2nd serve and error after error after error.

GOAT handslap at the end

AlexC into her first WTA final on hardcourt

Arn was up *53 30-0 in the 3rd. Did she have MP?

Cadantu is a Pova minion? She has on her AO dress.

No MP... she lost every point in the game after being 30-0 up.

Wow thank god I only watched the third set. Hideous tennis. Um yeah really really bad.
Also I hate Cadantu...I don't really have a reason, I just do.
Good luck to Babos.

Alex played a fine 1st set actually with Greta being rather poor, but she held comfortably and took her BPs. The second set was already a bit of a let down, however Arn was able to rise her 1st serve percentage which guaranteed her the win there, but both player already struggled massively with their 2nd serves. But then...

That third set will go down in history as the worst that has probably ever been played in the semifinals of a WTA tournament, seriously it can't be worse than that, absolute comedy. I would have been probably died laughing if I had watched that as a neutral spectator, that was just too good. Neither one could hold serve, Greta and partly Alex DFing the crap out of the ball, while Greta had at least some decent 1st serves in, while Cadantu was just all over the place, however the real deal was when the Hungarian served for the match leading 30:0 just to hit 4 loose shots in a row, but really junior level loose, among those were 2 backhands from the service box straight into the net.

The same story at 5-5 with Arn having 2 GPs just to hit further DFs to make it back to Deuce, and after a wasted GP, on a DF as well, she just dumped 2 forehands without any pressure into the bottom of the net.

Then, when Cadantu served for the match, she had her first MP, but Greta was able to save that one with a great backhand cross winner, getting a BP after Cadantu framed a forehand, just to hit a smash 2 metres wide, followed by 2 very loose returns on Alexandra's '1st serves' to lose it.

I've barely seen a player so poor on the important stages of the match than Greta was today, horrendous. (4/17 BPs)

As for cadantu, this is of course her biggest win of the career setting up a final which completely and literally came out of nowhere. I still have problems to realize that myself, considering from where she came.

I hope she can make it competitive against Babos, but I wouldn't hold my hopes too high to be honest...

Yeah, I can slighty recall that, but it was on clay and Timea is now a miles better player than at that time. I can't see her losing this one.

Oh well.

New world record in DF and too many unforced errors....

Anyway. A Semifinal is a semifinal and now let's rock Acapulco in sexy sexy Mexico.

Vamos, Schätzelein.

GOATA Arn
Losing to Crapantu is very embarrassing for a top 100 player.
Hopefully, Timug Bados will beat that romanian scrub in final to save tennis from a new low.

It would be awesome if Cadantu won a WTA title before Junkulescu, but I think I'll be rooting for Babos.

Arn is the oddest player for me. normally journey-women like her are tough as nails from years grinding on the tour. but arn is such a flippant odd case in she just seems to rush through matches and doesn't seem to dig in when importnat points come up like you would expect.
