Respect. :worship: Can't believe she didn't fold like a cheap tent after serving for it twice in the 2nd.

Was really impressed with what I saw. Great reaction at the end too.

Timi should have won 6-4 6-4 but she was too nervous.

Well done! First WTA final!

The first set was unbelievable from Timi, just winners after winners :worship: And how she fought in the third after that terrible choke at the end of the second :worship::worship:

No she hasn't got a slice backhand, she attacked wit her backhand a lot too. Maybe she was a bit tired and slower in the third, that's why she sliced more. :)

Please Greta win your match too :hearts:

Timea this is huge for her very little WTA carrer  I was expecting her to lose the 3rd set like 6-2 or something, after the choke she had but she seems to be mentally more stable than before. First of many finals for her :hearts: :worship:

Go win it tomorrow :yeah:

What only 18?

I was fully expecting Babos to be some 28 year old lifetime challenger tour player, who took advantange of the messy South/Latin American Tour.

Babos has a big game and will definitely be top 20 within a few years I'd say. But what a brat!

Sara, really poor loss and attitude  Get your mojo back in your next tournie!

She does have a forehand slice, though. She often hits this short forehand slice that totally unsettles her opponents. Quite nice to look at and very effective, actually, especially compared to the forehand slice of Niculescu which is a nightmare to watch.

Halep was a finalist in Fes in April 2010, 5 months before her 19th birthday. Pavlyuchenkova won Monterrey in March 2010, 4 months before her 19th birthday.

Caro, Vika, Aga, and Kvitova all were finalists at 18. All of them won their 1st final except Vika.

I think Babos is the 1st player born in 1992 or 1993 to make a WTA singles final.

(Few more win like this and I might forgive her the "Kurva első szerva" outburst at Wimbledon)

Timea totally deserved it but shame that her attitude instead to imrpove is even more childish.

I like her big forehand :inlove:

and she seems to have slice backhand

OMG you're such a fail
first FH is by far her weaker shot and second her BH is not slice
just fcus on your useless golden flowers instead to post always BS :wavey:

Well... congrats Timea, simply :yeah: She is really talented.
Her shots are deep, strong and very enjoyable to watch  She has a great backhand, a "dancer" forehand and an amazing serve. She could easily become Top 10 in a few years.
On the other side, her attitude on court is disgusting. She is almost 20 now, she cannot act like a baby if she misses a few shot. But she makes the viewer enjoy the match and, in every case, leaves you an impression (positive or negative :p).

Sara  She really fought hard in this match, but she hasn't the same weapons that Babos has... Her fighting spirit makes her one of the most interesting players on tour ;) Congrats for the good tournament, and no shame in losing to Timea :yeah:

I'm surprised you couldn't think of one (though my example may not be "the last one").

Didn't Kvitova win Hobart in 2009, at 18 years old?

I'm sure they're may be more recent others.

Are you sure you follow tennis?

Babos had played five WTA main draw matches till three weeks ago, half of them in Budapest. I watch players, when they become relevant.

I donīt care about Juniors, Junior Slams, Challengers and players that have their permanent residency outside of the top 100. Just like I donīt care about 4th division football or college basketball/american football.

Was trying to get this match on a stream, and I either couldn't or started doing something else.

So Errani lost, huh? Interesting.

Sara played very well so far this year.
