Siri won't give any interview until she wins another singles or doubles title.
However there will be a surprising interview with her sister Ronja next week.
It's the first time they've met, but Regla Torres was determined and concentrated against the World No. 1 and reigning French Open and Wimbledon champion, taking her out 6-4 7-5.
"I really wanted this one," Torres said. "It's a real test of where you are in the field to see whether you can beat the No. 1 player in the world," she said.
Torres, herself as high as No. 2 in the world only a couple of years ago, said that it wasn't just about the rankings but being able to compete with the best players in the world. She said this win has given her a lot of confidence.
Torres has also joined Nthamangela Mbangu's farewell tour by playing doubles with her in this tour. The pair won their first round match.
Acapulco, Mexico - Months of rehab for an injured lowered back finally paid off for American Harper Johnson on Sunday as she held on to outlast tour superstar Regla Torres 7-6, 7-5 in the final of the Abierto Mexicano TELCEL. Johnson, who was diagnosed with a herniated disc in her lower back in December of last year, struggled to return to the high level of play that saw her reach last year's French Open final and finish in the top ten in the world for a second straight year. The 22 year old lost her first four matches of the year, going winless in the entire month of January, including a first round loss at this year's Australian Open, a tournament she won just two years ago.
"It was a really tough start to the season," said Johnson during the trophy presentation. "But, I just kept working and stayed positive and knew that things would turn around. That started to happen a few weeks ago when I won a few matches and scored some big wins. Then this week, everything just clicked. I'm incredibly happy."
Johnson, who now has two tour victories on Mexican soil having also captured the title two years ago in Monterrey, will now move back to the hardcourts of the United States, as she gets set to play tour stops in Indian Wells and Miami over the month of March.
"For some reason, I've always struggled at both of these next two events," said Johnson during her post match interview. "So, the way I'm looking at it, I have nothing to lose. And, hopefully I'll go in playing really relaxed but focused tennis and maybe do a little damage and keep the momentum going."

Congrats Harper. Back-to-back finals but no wins. At least Regla's being consistent.
