How can they treat her like this? Former finalist who has a love for this tournament and they make her play 2 matches in 1 day and give hercog a full days rest.

Disgusting organisation from the dubai organisers, i hope virgine complains and gets this tournament taken off the calender.

of course she retired and i dont blame her, stick the finger up to them on your way to the lockeroom virgine, allez.

It may indeed be poor scheduling. Though I don't know if weather is a factor because there have been terrible sandstorms here for the last couple of days; maybe some matches were rescheduled?

:spit: Right !! One of the biggest tournaments ($$$ wise at least ) is gonna get canceled because VIRGINIE RAZZANO ( WHO ? ) has to play two matches in the same day.
Get a life.

how old are you? 10, 15?

Razzano can complain but almost none cares about her and event woudn't be taken off the calendar :lol::lol:

BTW you don't know rules about qualifying everything was ok

Life's tough as a professional! The year Venus won Amelia Island, massive rain, Venus did not have to play more than one match a day, but Justine, Dementieva, and Dokic and Suarez had to, basically, everyone else had to. That's life on the tour.

so what is the rule? shouldn't barrois default? if not, why do the organisers give a special case? or do the organisers ask razzano? or just tell razzano?

They move the match to the following day and the winner must play 2 matches that day. It's been like that for years and years.

Lol...Cancel a tournament because an old, irrelevant glitterhack like Razzano has to play two matches in one day??!! That is what happens normally...Besides, why is Razzano even here? Didn't she have an injury last week in Doha? Her retirement was injury related not fatigue related. Besides, its not the tournaments fault it took Razzano over two hours to defeat Barrois...Maybe she should take some tips from Halep and win two matches in under two hours (Dumb)...that way she wouldn't have to throw a tantrum and retire because "life is so tough"...Razzano has blister injuries and brain injuries...Not the tournament's fault...NID

Did she complain last week to play WC Ons Jabeur for R1? And not to face Vania King during Qualies?

She got easiest 100 pts of the year in Doha.

Maybe they'll give her a pity WC next year? Like a special VIP one?

Maybe her and Ana can band together and form their own protest group against these horrible tournaments that not only make their former finalists play qualifying, but 2 matches in the same day :o

didn't sugiyama once play four matches in one day?

Sugiyama is an actual machine though. I have no doubt she could still be playing today and be ranked top 40.

it is actually in the WTA rules 3.D.6.c and d so it's not done through an organisers whim or because of tradition.

"6. Postponement of First Round Qualifying of WTA Tournament

.
.
.

c. If eligible, a player’s 1st round match in a Premier Tournament may
be postponed one (1) day (until the second scheduled day of
Qualifying) due to her singles or doubles participation in the previous week’s WTA Tournament.

d. If eligible, a player’s 1st round match in an International
Tournament may be postponed one (1) day (until the second
scheduled day of Qualifying) due to her singles or doubles participation in the previous week’s WTA Tournament or $100,000
through $75,000 ITF Women’s Circuit event.

The match must be scheduled on the second day of Qualifying by
12:00 noon tournament local time or the first scheduled match,
whichever is later, and the player may be required to play two (2)
matches on the second day of Qualifying.*"

it's just a tough rule on the opponent, in this case ginie.

Virginie Razzano should be fined by the WTA for being an old, useless, irrelevant glitterhack...and for being a spoiled bitch and quitting a match because she is too lazy to keep playing....Disgusting attitude from VirTranny Dragzanno deserves suspension from the tour....LMAO

she got blisters on both of her foots twat.

 "Both of her foots"....Um, I think it should be "both of her feet"....You are right, though, why the hell did she show up here if she had blisters? Does that make sense? Is Dragzanno as stupid as Zvonareva, who showed up to play Doha last week injured and just retired from her match? Clearly, this is an idiotic move on Dragzanno's part. Common sense says that if you are injured, you don't keep playing. But these tournament whores can't comprehend that continuing to play makes injuries worse. How did Dragzanno expect to make anything of this tournament with blisters and apparent brain injuries? She should have conserved her energy and stayed at home to work on her submission tape for the next season of RuPaul's Drag Race....:worship::wavey: Quitting the tournament after it starts because you are injured prior to the tournament starting is :help:

 NID...Look at her ranking....Expecting special treatment because you were a finalist against Eve back in B.C. is obnoxious...Dragzanno is a disgrace and I'm sure she is desperate for some money...I am sure it sucks having to stay in roach infested motels every week and having to eat Subway because you struggle to win matches against GOAT's like Ons Jabeur :haha:
