Feb 19th, 2012, 03:58 AM
We have another German girl hitting the Top 20 next week after 3 did it last year! (Petkovic, Goerges & Lisicki)

Angelique Kerber would be ranked world #20 for the first time in her career when the new ranking is released after Doha. Congratulation! :D

4 Germans in the Top 20 next week! (#10 Petkovic, #13 Lisicki, #19 Goerges & #20 Kerber)

Just wait for Mona Barthel to follow now? ;) She is currently inside the Top 10 for the Race to Istanbul.

Can she be the next Kvitova? Everyone will say no, but who knows, her game works well in the US, and she might even be top 10 by the time she gets there. Anyway, she's 24 and it's about time she broke out. I'm so happy for her.

Feb 19th, 2012, 10:23 AM
:yeah:, keep going Angie. Next Kvitova? Probably not, she'll make top 10.

About time. She has backed up her USO SF with very good runs this season.

Of course Australia has to draw Germany for Fed Cup! :sobbing:

Feb 19th, 2012, 10:40 AM
She will have to invest much into Wimbledon, Roland Garros, KeyBísc/Miami and IW to stay there for longer and to compensate the USO SF at the outset.

Now is the time Angie to stabilize your ranking and your game !

And I'm really impressed by Andrea, Sabine, Julia, Angie & Mona right now. I never could have imagined such a breakthrough of more than 2 Germans some years ago

German tennis.:hearts: No wonder they will win Fed Cup soon.
