I saw the match too (on Eurosport). Great performance from Nadia but she's always had troubles to close the game. However, it's nice to see Nadia playing again with such an enthousiasm and I hope she can maintain this level some months.
Vamos Nadia :bounce:

Nadia lost the match. Kiri beat her 6-1 5-7 6-2

"I thought my game was awesome until 61 51, but then Nadia started playing very well," Kirilenko said. "I wasn't making any mistakes - she was playing very aggressively and running well too, and I was very surprised. But I made sure to stay focused and not get upset, and just start fighting again in the third set."

Nadia/Kirilenko reached Miami doubles final :cheer:

"It's great to be in the final of this tournament - last year I lost first round here in doubles, so I'm really happy to go this far now," Kirilenko commented. "It's great to play with Nadia. We're a good team. Hopefully this title will be ours."

Kirilenko and Petrova are 2-0 in finals together, winning Cincinnati in 2008 and Moscow in 2009 (Moscow was Premier-level). Kirilenko has 10 WTA doubles titles, Petrova 19 (including here in 2004 with Meghann Shaughnessy).

Congrats on winning Miami title, Nadia/Kirilenko! :D;)

"It was a great week for us to be able to win the title here at the Sony Ericsson Open," said Kirilenko, who bounces back into the Top 10 in doubles after the Premier victory. "We are working hard to try to get to the Olympics. It's nice to win such a great tournament like this, especially playing with Nadia."

"It was my third final here - the last two were quite painful, I believe last year we were even serving for the match," Petrova said after the match. "It has been a very long two weeks but now I'm going to head to Charleston with a good feeling, with excitement, with a good motivation to do well there too."
