Posted Nov. 12, 2002 -- Best remembered as Judy Winslow, the youngest of the three Winslow children from the TV hit sitcom, "Family Matters," Jamie Foxworth was on our TV screens weekly (1989-93), and then, without a trace, she was gone. The character of Judy was merely written out the series at the end of the fourth season without an explanation and May 14, 1993, was the last time Jaimee Foxworth's name appeared in the opening credits while playing with her dollhouse. Foxworth was 10 when she started the show and just 13 at the time she was released. Now a decade later, Foxworth, who's about to turn 23 this December, still struggles with what happened.
At the age of 20, depressed, bankrupt and down on her luck, Foxworth turned to alcohol and turned to a different brand of entertainment. She became a porn star and appeared in more than a dozen hard-core porn videos. The sexier, eyebrow-pierced Foxworth, known in the adult entertainment industry as "Crave," starred in sex videos including, "Booty Talk 20: Super Fine Sistas," "More Black Dirty Debutantes 30" and "The Adventures of Peeping Tom 28."
"I got caught up in the wrong crowd. A lot of my friends were shooting porn films. I was broke, so when I was offered $15,000 to work on a porno I had to say yes. I was offered $15,000 for a half-hour's worth of work. It was hard to resist. That's easy money," she said. "It's not a lifestyle that I really wanted to get into, but I was desperate. It was more of a necessity. People said I had the body and looks for it and it paid good money, it paid the bills. Since I was a former TV actor I got paid a little more than the other girls. But I'm not very proud of some of the things I've done. "
Foxworth began her career at age 5, modeling and appearing in national TV commercials. She appeared on the television series "Amen" and "TV 101," before landing her big break in 1989 on "Family Matters." "Everyone always asks, 'what happened to you?' At the end of the fourth season my character walks up the stairs to her room but she never came down and no one ever mentioned me again. I just vanished. I remember asking my mom 'when are we going back to work,' but that day never came."

There's more to the story, you can read the entire article on BET.com I was just so amazed that she turned out to be a porn star. I never would have imagined this.

I remember watching 'Family Matters' I remember her too. I hope she gets her career back on track.

Um sorry but please someone inform me how your life can be over at 13 because you were fired from a freaking tv show? JEEZUS her parents royally screwed her up if she couldnt move on and go to high school and college or whatever.
she obviously should not have become a porn star. if you cant take pride in your work then dont do it, that goes for any profession.
Her parents must have spent all her money that is the real tragedy! she should have a trustfund or something! Isnt there a Gary Coleman Act to prevent this kind of thing?

Hail-Venus - Thanks for the article. I hope she gets it together as well.
PhoenixStorm - you're spot on.

That's too bad, and I also hope she's able to get her life together.
And it's just so beyond silly that her character was written out of "Family Matters" in order to give more air time to the biggest one-note character of all time (I don't have to say his name, you know who it is!) Really, there is such a lack of imagination when it comes to TV writing!

The act being referred to is the Coogan Act named after Jackie Coogan (1914-84) the original Uncle Fester in the 60's show the Addams Family. He was a child star whose parents squandered everything on him. A law was enforced requiring child actors money to be placed into a trust fund with a small percentage going to the parents/Gaurdians to help allay costs. It becane known as the Coogan Act.

 thanks for the article!!
Wow.. the way she disappeared from the show was weird...
Nov 13th, 2002, 10:17 AM
But why was she dropped from Family Matters?
Nov 13th, 2002, 01:45 PM
That's what I'd like to know, Barrie_Dude. Was it really to give more screen time to "you-know-who"? But not only did they get rid of Jamie Foxworth, but also Thelma Hopkins, who played the Aunt.

I also heard that Myra, who played the girl that had a huge crush on Urkel, died of breast cancer. Is that true?

 Myra is dead? you remember her real name? maybe we can search for her
Nov 13th, 2002, 04:16 PM
Urkel? (Barrie Shudders) I have the same reaction to Britney Spears and Boy Bands!
Nov 13th, 2002, 04:20 PM
according to imdb.com she died of stomach cancer.
Nov 13th, 2002, 04:21 PM
Sorry Marri, I don't remember her real name. I was surprised to hear that too.

It is just XXX movies. Big deal! This broad I used to know from a show, Jennifer North, ended up doing "nudies" as we called them then as well. They were very lucrative!
It is not like this chick did an ad for McDonald's or something. All she did was strip, expose herself, and have sex in front of a camera. It is not like she is selling killer food to the masses and feasting on corporate America's greed. ;)
Nov 13th, 2002, 04:56 PM
OHHHH, so thats what happened to her. It really was kinda silly that one episode she was there and in the next she had disappeared. I thought she had died or somethin'.
Well she had to do something to support herself and at the time, maybe porn was her best option. Nothing to die over...

Lights, Camera, Action, would you do it?

Sure. But I am too old now unless someone has a grandmother fetish. Nothing too kinky for me, though.

OMG! Are they already on the 30th installment of "More Black Dirty Debutantes"?! I think I left off with No.17. ;) I wonder if one needs to see 1-29 to be able to follow the "plot" in No.30?
Nov 14th, 2002, 12:56 AM
I wonder if she ever made a movie where she was having sex with a guy who was dressed like Urkel. That would be HOT!
Nov 14th, 2002, 12:09 PM
I know some of the XXX that Dana Plato did before her death involved sex with a Black midget to draw up Gary Coleman memories.
Nov 14th, 2002, 12:12 PM
Wow @ both stories !
Quite sad to hear. I mean, I've always thought that the people taking part in this show should be punished, but not that way. :o

what do you mean with punished?
it was sad to read those articles about Michelle Thomas' death...
Nov 14th, 2002, 12:19 PM
They should be punished because it was such a bullshit. :p

Family Matters was a pretty terrible show but I would not wish death on any of the castmembers. There are much worse things in life than making a 30-minute XXX scene for $15,000 and she now appears to be off of alcohol and no longer doing XXX.

Actually this happens in a lot of shows there is a column that appears in a local tv guide and somone once asked what had happened to Judy on Famliy Matters and they said it was because she was irrelevant to the plot. Alsp nd tis is ging a little bck but "The Torkesons" which as shownon Disney until Recently there was a total of 5 siblings and two of them were cut out whn the family moved to Washngton also because they were cnsidered irrelavent to the plot

omg poor girl...
May 8th, 2003, 10:10 PM
I've seen some of her pornos and she is awful! I see why she was kicked off the show. :o
Tina Yothers is in a rock band.
When Michelle died, it was one of the saddest days on earth. She was doing really good work on Young and The Restless and then she got sick. I remember when they replaced her with another actress the announcer said 'Due to the sudden and tragic death of Michelle Thomas, Callie will now be played by...'
May 9th, 2003, 04:25 AM
wait. tina yothers is the one that came in the mike j fox series right?
May 9th, 2003, 04:29 AM
yeah, Calista. she now has black hair and is therefore instantly edgy.

LOL @ Cari!

They are doing this 50th Anniversary special on ABC and the cast of Family Matters is supposed to be together for one of the functions, I wonder if she was invited..haha..
