How would you interpret this quote?


"Man is not made for defeat
He can be destroyed
But not defeated"

- The Old Man & the Sea



I thought it was an interesting quote.

so what do u think?

Heroes represent this quote because although physically destroyed (example death), their ideals/principles live on for us to follow and be inspired to be like them.:angel:

That we are stupid: we can't admit defeat even if we're destroyed. But the other interpretations are fine too ;)

lol, yeah, I HAD to read that book...
it is okay though, it was only 120 pages or so long.
