Is it just me or seems Riske pretty slow ?

Alison going toe to toe with Kuzzie on the baseline, moving in when gets an opening. Love it. Gotta be aggressive in order to pull off this upset.

That being said, I'm surprised Sveta hasn't teed off on more of Alison's shots... they really do seem to set up no matter how deep she seems to hit them.

Seeing Svetlana playing that good and clever now makes me wonder even more how she could be such a mug 2011 most of the time :o
Feeling a bit sorry for Riske though :(

Agreed, however she could float in the 75-140 range for a while, with a max of 50 I think. That's given how she is now... she was a late bloomer and can still improve her game. I think working with Gullickson instead of her sister shows that she is committed to improvement.

Jamie in tb, but Moni up 4-1...

Yes she already improved her "outdoor-game" and she can be a solid player around rank 50-100 but nothing more I guess. Her strike motions also seem a bit robotic which won't make it any easier especially on slow courts I guess. She can still improve her movement a lot and theres some work to do at the serve too.
