Playing really well... :bounce::bounce:

With 30 more points, her ranking points total will raise to 673 and ensures her to get back into Top 100 !! AO main draw, here we are ! Good luck against fellow Morita tomorrow now. ;)

Why can't she play like this during the first 90% of the seasons?
She always plays her best right in the last few tournaments! Great job. :worship:

It should be a great final tomorrow, good luck to both!
But I hope Ayumi gets the title third time lucky. :D

Most of the Tour is made up from various kinds of slow courts, her game is not well suited for these. It's the fall where most of the remaining fast courts are. This is why she played so well at Bali, which is really fast.

Great to have the two best Japanese players in the final at the end of the year, after tough year for Japan!

Great that Kimiko has got herself back in the top 100. Hopefully Kimiko will add further points to her total in the final and in that Japanese ITF that is coming up. Then the challenge over the 1st few months of 2012 will be the get back into the top 60 to ensure a place in the Olympics. This won't be easy but it is definitely doable. The key will be some smart scheduling, particularly during the clay season. Essentially the thing to do is skip it, aside from Roland Garros and maybe a tournament the week before. With the kind of flat hitting Kimiko possesses and taking account of her age there is no way she is going to be able to collect any significant ranking points on clay. Much better for her during that part of the season to play some Asian ITFs, especially if she can find a couple that are indoors. Alternatively I believe the 100k Hardcourt in Johannesburg takes place around that time too. That would definately be an event to consider.

I'd love to see her play the Olympics. If she doesn't make the ranking cut off, do you think she could get a WC? There would be no other Japanese in the MD according to current rankings if I'm not mistaken.
