Bartoli had a mp but couldn't serve or move her feet towards the end at all, left the court limping and in tears. Never nice to see a player exit this way but this is her 83rd match of the year already, gerl needs better scheduling and a break if she wants a long career.

This is such a repeat of 2009, she left the court against Rezai in tears and it doesnt happen often. :awww::hug:
She got the Istanbul win, which gave her more prize money than a Bali title, and frankly Bali didn't offer to many rankings points so she should still end the year on a high. Nothing to defend until IW, make a push up the top 10 next year and get some well deserved rest!

The point to save break point at 64 67 15-40 said otherwise.

She went from fine to a broken leg in one match point.

Amazing.

I have to agree! It was very strange and nothing noticeable happened. Then she went from limping but still playing points fairly well to not being able to move.

I think she was so upset because she knew she was losing to Medina Garrigues.

Marion:awww: She's been playing awful lot, for the past 7 weeks there's been at least one competitive match.
I hope she'll get the deserved vacation, and has a strong season next year again.

Well done to AMG, winning the TB. Will be a bit better it's her against Liscki/Hantuchova than someone injured.

 I like Aga, but I wanted Marion to grab that last spot. I was sad that Marion dint qualify to Istanbul but I dont hate Aga for this because it wasnt her fault that Marion didnt win Moscow. It is not like Marion lost to her or anything...And actually I dint even notice that you are a fan of Aga :wavey:
I just dint like your comment

First a walkover, then a win over a player who couldn't be bothered, and now this. Not a great end of the season for Marion.

I think Marion should have withdrawn before the tournament began.

The WTA site says: "Eight players who have captured at least one International tournament during the year and who are not participating in singles at the year-end WTA Championships will qualify for the event."

As Marion played in Istambul she should have stepped away from Bali.
It would have been a very nice move from her. (specially if she was not 100% physically)

What a pity! She could've easily made the final. But I understand that she's played way too much this year. Now she'd better rest and get ready for the next season. I'm glad that she ends 2011 in the top 10. She totally deserves it.

All because my big-nosed, Snickers gobbling, fuckery queen can't even tank a match properly. :tape:

Poor Marion. Hopes for a speedy recovery. Even though I'm not a huge fan of hers, she brings some much-needed character to the tour.

Marion said she injured her right ankle during the tiebreak while running on a dropshot. Felt a severe pain a few seconds later. Said there was no point to try to continue and to make it worse as the knew she would not be able to play in semis. She doesn't know from what she's suffering exactly for the moment.
