Jill Craybas and Francesca Schiavone both have 45 consecutive Slam main draw appearances, dating back to the 2000 US Open. This is an impressive feat for both women but I am particularly impressed with Craybas due to the fact that, despite someone with such a limited arsenal and talent pool, she has great conditioning and is obviously an incredibly hard worker to have kept herself in the MD entry lists of Grand Slams for 11 years.

The last time she played qualifying at a Slam was at the 2001 Australian Open, but her ranking at the ripe age of 37 years old has dipped so low that it seems nigh on impossible for her to get into the 2012 AO without qualifying. Is it possible for her to participate in that American wildcard playoff they run? As I understand it, it's invitational, and I'm not sure as to whether they'd invite her or some younger players like Davis or Keys instead.

Whatever the case, I hope she continues to enjoy tennis for as long as she plays, and I would love to see her come through qualifying at next year's AO if she has to play. Go Jill! :worship:

Jill is amazing, and to be honest, I hope she does play qualies. 40 points on offer for beating a scrub in qualies.

That's big when your outside of the top 100.

Svetlio - because she probably makes more doing this than anything else she could, and she probably loves travelling the world. Anyone know Jill's career prize money total? She probably hasn't earned a ton (comparatively), but I'm sure its a nice amount.

yeah, money definitely plays its role, I guess  But she is being trashed here and there by everybody nowadays, not being able to win b2b matches, barely winning a any matches, at all :awww: which is kinda sad and rings up "YOU SHOULD RETIRE"' bell

Yeah I'm sure Jill's invested a lot of that, good for her. If you're losing matches, but get to play a game you love and travel the world - play until you drop dead.
