How is that possible, to travel between time zones in a short period of time and still keep winning.
Duh, she has obviously mastered the technique of time travelling.
Come to think of it, that explains a lot.

How far is she from direct AO Main Draw?
TBE hasn't updated his ranking thread. I have never followed this before, but I give it a try ( correct me as I am wrong).
Acording to TBE, Kimiko has 524pts now in the previous 100k final. She won, so now she is around 563 pts. This week, she has made the semi, so she has 563pts + 70pts -1pts =632 pts which allows her to be ranked around 110.
Since the cut off is around 108 (?). 128 players - 12 qualifiers - 8 wildcards =108. If she wins her next match, Kimiko will have around 661 pts which ranks her around 105 enough to qualified. A win will put her in the top 100 secure a spot in the main draw. So Kimiko needs to win at least another match to get in the main draw. 2 will be better. Still, there will be always some injury withdraws, 3 or 4 players, so the cut off ranks always go down.
I heard grandslam has cut off around 96-100, but not sure how it works.

it would be great if she can get AOMD since more than anything - i reckon it'll keep her motivated to play a full 2012 calendar, or at least (and more importantly) london2012.
still - would like her to win this, and build a stronger year, as she had some bad losses in 2011.

Kimiko's point after 100k Poitiers was 564pts (Rank:116), and since Taipei is 100k+h the points will be...
SF 80pts = Kimiko 643pts (Rank:109 for this week)
F 110pts = Kimiko 673pts (Rank:103 for this week)
W 150pts = Kimiko 713pts (Rank:95 for this week)
And kimiko also plans to play 75k+h Toyota, 2weeks from now.

I took my datas from a board that listed the points 10 pts less than yours for each categories, so my calculations were 10 pts less for each round. It's a good thing that they increase the pts for the ITF events.
I am not clear about not taking the pts off when you add a new results though. Isn't we supposed to take the event with the least amount of pts off when we add a new one? I don't know how to find her 16 best results, so I just took one pt off, since I remember Kimiko lost in the first rounds quite a lot this year.
It's good for Kimiko to get direct entry to the AO. With her age and physical condition, it 's not a sure thing that she will make it through the qualify rounds. Even if she does, then there wont be much left in her tank when she competes in the main event. I think Kimiko knew that, so she enter lots of tournaments possible to improve her ranking.
Good luck to Kimiko and hope she 'll get a good draw.
