Sorry if there already has been a thread on this, but just wondering who else have tickets to next year's Olympics at Wimbledon! I managed to snag some tickets at the last minute for R1, R2, R3 and QFs, and especially excited about the QF ticket! :D

Lucky you! All we got was tickets for swimming! And that event was bottom of my wish list! Tennis, Diving and Gymnastics were my tops, but it wasn't to be. Soccer was the least subscribed!

I think you'll find your tickets will be very valuable on the black Market - temptation may call!

Indeed lucky you. I applied for a ton of tennis tickets, but all I got was beach bloody volleyball!

Also have 9 other friends from the forum (all live in UK/London) and no tickets at all for any of them either.... :o

How did you manage to get so many tennis tickets? What Olympic Federation did you buy through?

Mine were from an authorised reseller (Kingdom Sports Group). At first I couldn't get any tennis tickets too, all I managed to get were volleyball, badminton and synchronised swimming. But they had a lottery for some tickets were cancelled/not paid for, and that's how I got mine. My ticket prices are marked up by 20% though, but I think it's worth the price.

I applied for loads of sessions but didn't get any tennis tickets, just one pair for athletics. I should count myself lucky though, I don't know anyone else who got any at all. There is still a chance in the resale next year too.

That's my last hope. I always fail at the Wimbledon ballot as well, so no doubt I'll be up early to get tickets the first minute they go on resale :oh:

Thought it was a ridiculous way of doing it - like I want to apply for tickets and then end up watching archery or synchronised swimming - I'll stick to Eastbourne, Wimbly and Montreal next year.

Doesn't always work that way - I've been to three Eurovision Song Contests but I couldn't get a ticket for it the last time it was held in the UK :)

Just a quick message re Olympic tickets. I am one of the lucky few who has 4 centre court tickets for Sat 28 July, which is all my family and I wanted. Unfortunately it is my brother's engagement party the same day, and family politics dictate we must go!! Is there anyone out there with 2 or 4 tickets for Sunday 29 July that would be happy to swap?

Sounds like they used the same balloting system for tickets in London that they did for the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver, I applied for a bunch of tickets too but all I got were tickets for the bronze medal game in Women's Curling :( I had to go through a ticket broker and paid absolutely out my nose considering what the original prices were but it was all worth it for me. I'm so glad I got to experience the games. London's games are going to be absolutely amazing! Anyone should consider themselves fortunate that they got tickets for ANY event. Just being able to go to the games is an experience in and of itself :)

Are there going to be ground passes?

They were already sold last April. I think i applied for twelve tennis tickets (+ heaps of others). Obviously like everyone else I know, I didn't get any tickets. I was lucky though in the third round and got tickets for the men's final. I paid more than 100 bucks for it but it's easily the biggest match i have attended in my life (despite having been to hundreds of matches before). So obviously looking forward. However, i'm still checking the website for tickets. My guess is that they will resell some of tickets people have not bought/accepted over the next couple of weeks. There was a blip in the site last weekend when suddenly tickets for one of the courts showed up but you couldn't purchase them. So hopefully all of us will get a chance to buy any/more tickets!

The Hill tickets are only in the last few days when there are no matches on the outside courts so it should be fine.

Is this still likely? I'd love some ground pass tickets for one of the first few days. Checked a few times but not seen a single one. Suppose I could sit here for 10 hours a day spamming the refresh button, but knowing my luck they'd pop up and get sold during a bathroom break.

They're saying there are at least 200,000 tickets still to go on sale across all events - presumably that includes some tennis.

Hello everyone,

As I searched high and low for London tennis tickets I found my way here. My mother, my sister and I are flying from Louisville, KY and will be in Dublin/London during the Olympics (our first trip to Europe). We get in the morning of the 28th and we leave the morning of the 3rd. We are staying in Slough and taking the train into the city daily.

If anyone has tickets for the 29th ,30th ,1st or 2nd we would love to have some. The 31st we will be in Manchester for the day watching a football match.
We have looked at online brokers an are ok to pay some small premiums but it appears no one can be trusted. CoSport the official US reseller has been sold out for a long time and only had premium tickets from what I saw. Any help would be appreciated.

Also if there are ways to get other event tickets please let me know. I am willing to meet up with someone in London or do any thing to try and find these tickets. Grounds Pass and Court 1 were our first thought through resellers because of the mark up but centre court works as well as long as the prices are ok. Thank you so much!!

Extremely disappointed. We will be there, but no tickets to be found. I still see tickets on the London 2012 site for other sports, but those aren't available to me here in the US. A bit frustrating, but I guess we will just have to wait and try and find some when over there.

The packages some of the resellers are selling are a rip-off, it would make more sense to fly to NYC and watch the US Open instead.

The official site does have tennis tickets available every now and then, but they are sold in minutes. Just keep checking during UK working hours and maybe get them sent to a friend in the UK if you're lucky enough to grab one.

I went both Monday and yesterday. I was able to purchase reasonably priced tickets from a random guy yesterday. Monday, a lady gave me an extra ticket for free! Try your luck in going out there. Just bring a sign saying that you are looking for 'one extra ticket.' Don't be shy.

BTW the line is no different whether you have a bag or not. Doesn't take long no matter what time you arrive.
