More than zero, then?

More than zero, then?

I checked Wikipedia, which has those spiffy tables with flags in them and everything, and it seems she does have more than zero weeks as #1.

That's odd, as I don't remember her ever winning anything, unlike that leftist woman who barks, the one with the biceps who cleaned Serena's clock and the Chinese one.

You know Petra's starting the year 0-13 before losing in the Wimbledon final to Princess Carol, right?

You can't spell "Caroline Wozniacki" without N-O. O-N-E!

I'm not sure if I should do the honors of saying it or not. I'm sure EVERYONE is thinking what I'm thinking. I'll be quiet for now.

This placeholder #1 title has gone on for way too long, but thankfully it will be over soon. I wonder if Caro is embarrassed knowing she has done jack shit to be #1 virtually the entire year. I imagine she and her pimp father don't even bat an eyelash. So sad.

Just to think Venus after about playing for 16 years has been 11 weeks on the No. 1 place...

I'm sure when she's feeling butt-hurt about how her 11 weeks are less than Caro's whatever number, she goes and hugs her 5 Wimbledon trophies and 2 US Open trophies :oh:

why do wozniacki fans not get that players chase slams not weeks at number 1? during venus's heydays she could have easily played an extra 3 to 5 tournaments a year to gain more weeks at number 1, but it might have hurt her chances at winning slams.

i'm pretty sure venus would never trade any of her slams for any amount of extra weeks at number 1, so looking back she made the right choice to chase slams.

it used to be you play to win slams and when you do start winning them the number 1 rankings follows.

Yep, you play tennis at the higher echelons to chase those Grand Slams and Titles, the Number 1 ranking is an added Bonus.

Much like going into a store and buying what you want, then getting the next item half price off.

he didn't say anything about weeks at #1 being more important than slams  he just said that he thought Venus was #1 for a longer time than she was

please, i'm no venus fan but that was a clear pop at her. so what she has 11 weeks at number 1, she has 7 grand slams lets not try and downplay how successful venus has been in her career.

Yeah, and Caro has 3 majors to play at 21, 4 at 22, 4 at 23, 4 at 24, etc.

All this Caro bashing is projections that she is going to do nothing at majors when you dont know jack shit.
Think about it. You dont know shit about what will happen the then next 10 years at majors.

Thats why people talk about her weeks at #1. Because it actually happened, not a projection, a guess about the future. And its rare. Only a few players in history were #1 for 51 weeks in a calendar year. The last before her was Graf.

Its these negative projections of the future that make the Caro haters so fucked up
You dont know shit.

your optimism for her future based on the #1 ranking is just as invalid as our predictions of her continued shortfalls at slams then. we're basing her slam results in the future off of what we've seen already, just like you are with her #1 status.

both arguments are based on existing things, we're not just saying she sucks at slams because we imagine that to be the case.

at least there was real competition at that time, no generation suck. Cant wait to see that kind of competition with great players back but with that generation suck(woz, rad, aza) wta lost SO MUCH

not so hard being n°1 when you dont face very often real competition, wozniacki at n°1 is not THAT impressive imo. I would be impressed the day she'll win as many slams as Venus.

but well sweet dream!

So being #1 in this weak era is nothing to write home about but apparently winning 1 Slam in this weak era is the real deal and gets you into the hall of fame. Logic at its finest. :tape:

Let's face it: Woz won't get any credit from her haters the day she wins her first Slam. Does it matter? No.

Face the reality, Woz chances to win a slam will be only on a fluke draw (like US Open 09) with all others serious contenders injuried or retired.
