If we go by the ATP, the Fed cup title would be around 500 pts worth, provided one wins all single live matches.

She participates in FedCup every time Danish team has to play, even when they have no chances to win the tie. You know, sometimes it is necessary to keep your mouth closed

With whom should she play with? :spit:
Barbat? :oh:
Or this other useless chick? (No, not Wozniacki, there is another useless player from Denmark :oh:)

Hm. I don't think this would be fair... Fed Cup is a team thing, but ranking points are not.

Exactly - you play Fed Cup for your country not yourself.

Why is the idea to give points for Fed Cup wins so funny?
I wrote this during zonal group in February:
P.S. for some reason I thought both the ATP and the WTA had started to give some ranking points at least in the WG but I don't see any mention of that in the rankings.
But there's no reason why all levels of Fed Cup shouldn't count in the rankings!
Just a rough idea: win at WG I = Premier 5/M R1 win points; WG II = Premier; Zonal I = Int; Zonal II = ITF 100K (or 50, or 75).
Same for doubles.

People just hate Fed Cup, I don't know why. It should be connected with ranking points ASAP!
As for Caroline, she would always play it. She likes being generous. "hearts:

It should be worth the points it is currently given...ZERO.

Love Fed Cup, but it should in no way be related with ranking points toward singles rankings.

it would not be fair to Caroline and other players whose countries are not in the world group :bigwave:

You've got a point, but on the other hand, 1) there aren't many top players in her position regarding Fed Cup and 2) at least she'd be guaranteed some cheap points, even if not many.

Of course it would also encourage more players to participate.

Fed Cup can be huge with a generous number of points being awarded. It is a shame to WTA that again they do nothing to close the gap. Petra would be the #1 and it would be well deserved!
