Saw that in a tennis.com article and I kinda like it.

Posters . . . . cast your votes.

Ad (Since this is TF, let me make it clear that I don't mind her noises at all)

Normally bark on winners but when intensed, it becomes shrieky and would bark on opponents UEs. When she's relaxed and almost winning, she'll be mostly silent.:oh:

This started to be very original threads

For Petra's voice ... I must agree to no longer remenbering Czech word "pojd" and more sounds like little dog squeezed into doors and as her fan also need to agree she should not used on opoonents UEs. But she just explain her emotions in tough times and can't hold it when she win important ball ... just give her time to gain some confidence cause if match is under her control she is not barking.

Anyway she barks 20-30 max. times per match so don't understand why is here even comparing to grunting which happend on ech ball, it means 200-500 times per match :wavey:

What the hell is she barking anyway? Someone told me it's supposed to be "pojd" (not very sure), which is the Czech version of fluke Ana's disgraceful and annoying "ajde". Please verify Czech friends.

When she makes that sound, my dog barks back at her. If my dog considers it a bark, then I do too.

Sometimes it's a dog, sometimes a scream, sometimes a bird.

a divine, ultrasonic, monstrous, undefinable, never heard before sound which strikes terror in all pushers(their stans), journeywomen(their 2-3 supporters) and on the whole in all living beings

Bark seems a bit too generic a word, I think yelp captures it better. Whatever you call it, I hope she loses it, it is incredibly annoying, and the way she does it after an error from an opponent is poor sportsmanship to say the least. Even more than most of the horrible sounds players produce, this seems to be very much a cultivated sound, and I'm starting to suspect it is deliberately designed to get up her opponents' noses. Not worthy of a soon-to-be no. 1.

She does it very, very rarely on someone else's errors, like barely once/twice a match, when she's extremely nervous.

It's not different from any other come on, so way for tweaking things. Kvitova has more class in her pinky than half of the WTA combined. I guess Sam's trashing by an out of form Kvitova is still biting.

Actually not very much, I didn't have very high hopes for a win anyway. I try not to give into childish impulses to bash the winner if Sam loses or rub it in when she wins, not sure I can say the same for you. I was annoyed by this aspect of Petra's barking all through the YEC. And it's not true that she rarely does it on errors, she did it several times in yesterday's match alone. Maybe it's not deliberate bad sportsmanship, but if so, someone needs to point out that it does appear that way.
