According to what conceivable definition is that a slump? :yeah: Excelscior Oct 28th, 2011, 06:15 PM Li Na was absolutely dismal in this tournament. Only a hampered Sharapova (recent pigeon) made her win a match and look good here. Sharapova should be falling out of her seat knowing she lost to you. Just two absolutely dismal showings here against Stosur and Azarenka!! Shoot! A cold ass, off the street, off viral infection Bartoli, is playing better than Li Na now!! Get your head together, and better luck next year Na. You can do it!! Earn all that new money your making!!! Sam wasn't even that good today. She made a lot of errors herself, but Na just made more, and by the second set Li Na mentally checked out. Terrible! Apoleb Oct 28th, 2011, 06:19 PM Na was so brain dead. Serving to Sam's forehand, really?? :help: Otherwise, no need to analyze this one. Na is brain dead and hits a perfect ball for Sam, and she can't stand the top spin. dsanders06 Oct 28th, 2011, 06:31 PM Na was so brain dead. Serving to Sam's forehand, really?? :help: Otherwise, no need to analyze this one. Na is brain dead and hits a perfect ball for Sam, and she can't stand the top spin. Plus Na really needs pace and rhythm from her opponent to do well so that she can redirect that pace herself, because when she has to generate her own pace she ALWAYS makes a ton of errors. Although Sam obviously has an monstrous forehand due to the spin, it really doesn't have much raw pace on it, plus she throws up loads of junk on the backhand side, so Na really can't establish a rhythm against Stosur ... so it'll probably always be a nightmare match-up for her. Na, please rehire Mortenson over the offseason :sobbing: Linguae^ Oct 28th, 2011, 08:15 PM This is just so bad. hankqq Oct 28th, 2011, 08:28 PM Na :tape: Hopefully she'll find her good form again when she comes back in 2012...she has been terrible since losing to Lisicki at Wimbledon. Laura_VeeFan Oct 28th, 2011, 08:58 PM Oh dear NaNa :sobbing: Thought she would lose but didn't expect a bagel and a breadstick :o You better hire Mortensen again before Wozniacki does if you want to defend at least half of your points in the AO and FO... It's a question of preparation. I mean, no professional athlete would ever stop for 3 weeks in the middle of the season just because he/she didn't feel like practicing the sport... Noctis Oct 29th, 2011, 01:31 AM and if you exclude Sam's 5 best USO, Rome, Toronto, Istanbul, Dubai / Cincy :tape: TBh she's doing pretty well in this half. While Na do better first half Both sides of the rainbow iGOAT Oct 29th, 2011, 03:50 AM NaNa is out of control at this point :tape:. The fame went to her head. Those who said Shanksur had disappeared after the US Open have clearly been proven wrong :tape:. She has maintained (or bettered) her form for the rest of the year since then. Hopefully she can do tomorrow to KvittyGOAT what she did to Williamsova in the US Open final :bounce:. Roookie Oct 29th, 2011, 03:55 AM This makes Poova's loss look even worse :tape: stromatolite Oct 29th, 2011, 05:00 AM TBh she's doing pretty well in this half. While Na do better first half Both sides of the rainbow That's the point precisely, but there is a real difference between a slam final followed by a slam followed by 8-14, and what Sam's done this year. Na showed in the first half of the year that she has the game of a true top player, but unfortunately has gone to pieces since. Sam struggled a bit in the early half of the year, but continued to work hard on her game and was still in the top 10 going in to the USO. To be fair to Na though, she was unlucky to be drawn against some very tough opponents early in the draws of the tournaments following RG (including a couple of times against Sam), so by the time she got to NY she had zero confidence and match rhythm and she started losing to scrubs as well. Zhao Oct 29th, 2011, 05:03 AM what has Mortensen done to Na's forehand?? It's even worse than Woz's now... Ian Aberdon Oct 29th, 2011, 06:50 AM the loss to Lisicki @ Wimbledon ruined rest of Na's 2011 ... hope she can come back strong in Australia  And poor Sabine hasn't been allowed to forget it since, has she? :scared: You'll get another chance to - erm - 'support' her, as she is still going to Li Na's homecoming...;) Pops Maellard Oct 29th, 2011, 08:06 AM I have a bad feeling about Na's 2012. I think she won't defend all her points and will sink like a rock . stromatolite Oct 29th, 2011, 09:05 AM I have a bad feeling about Na's 2012. I think she won't defend all her points and will sink like a rock . Yes, she's been in free fall for quite a while now and doesn't seem to have packed a parachute. Hope she turns it around though, I like her a lot. Sassy-Na Oct 29th, 2011, 09:39 AM hiring a foreign coach. She dumped shan (husband) as her coach again. :o Excelscior Oct 29th, 2011, 09:44 AM hiring a foreign coach. She dumped shan (husband) as her coach again. :o Did she really? Big_Banana Oct 29th, 2011, 10:53 AM I'm still speechless. it hurts to watch her, she's the epitome of weakness now. LCS Oct 29th, 2011, 11:16 AM Dead. :hysteric: | |
