Vika has already advanced to the SF but she still needs to play her 3rd RR match ... Marion "Cake" Bartoli has been called up to replace the "injured" Ma$ha $harapova :p I hope Marion has not been eating too much Turkish Delights for breakfast, lunch and dinner

Doner kebab 3x a day? Yes please.
Vika, she'll probably want to keep her momentum going and won't tank it.

It's best for Marion to not get the extra cash money because she'll definitely use it to have herself a big meal after that.:oh:

Vika better not waste energy here.
2 sets either way will do.

Vika is probably brimming with confidence right now after avenging a slam nemesis of hers here. Make it a perfect, clean 3-0 Snickers. :cheer:

I've never wanted Bartoli to win so badly. C'mon Marion :rocker2:

I think Vika will win. It will probably be some 3-set fuckery filled mess that ruins her chances in the SF.

Hopefully Vika in 2.

marion would be better off to just say screw it and rest uf for bali

let andrea play sintead..atleast it would be a more unpredictable match up

Has Cake even recovered from the viral illness that was affecting her in Moscow?

Isn't Andrea injured? She pulled out of Bali...

is she? wasnt aware she did that

in any case is it possible for marion to just say screw it and decide not to even play?

there's no point in it really

This is such a bad match-up for Bartoli. Azarenka and it won't be remotely close.

For Bartoli this match is like finding 100000 dollars on the street. Vika has 1st place locked up. Why would she care? If Vika knows one thing, then it is how to tank matches. German commentator today said, she was on her way to the airport with packed bags 10 minutes after her retirement loss to Goergesin Stuttgart. :tape::tape:

how does this mean anything for marion?

marion knows she cant advance and she knows her chances of winning arent great

there's no point in competing for her at all. Just save energy and get ready for bali

Azarenka 6-2 6-2. Again.

Too many issues for Bartoli here. Doesn't have a potent enough serve to reprieve herself, and she's going to be out-rallied throughout.

Vika in 2 relatively easy sets.

Extra ranking points and monies, plus the fact that she's just better than Bartoli should be motivation enough for Vika to win this in two.

Whats at stake:

Winner gets $110-115k ($375k vs $485k for Vika, $110k vs $225k for Bartoli)

Winner gets 160 points towards their ranking

Vika obviously owns Bartoli (7-1 h2h with the one Bartoli win being a default)

I say Vika grabs the extra points and $$$ and cruises into the Semi's undefeated.

People forget that Marion's game is most effective on a very fast service.
But, still, likely Vika in 2 sets.

Marion has absolutely nothing to lose, why not go out with all guns blazing? who knows.
