I am doing a presentation for school and my group has decided to make a movie. Its about a charity that we investigated and we need a sad backing track song to play during our movie with all the facts.

Your help is greatly appreciated :D

Last Kiss by Pearl Jam is probably one of the saddest song ever, not sure if it fits though
u0B-hJ_gotc

Xandria's Like a rose on the grave of love is really emotional, but as before not sure if it fits:
3ND3WCarzaY

Ed Sheeran's The A Team is probably the saddest song among the "new comers" of the year
UAWcs5H-qgQ

"Meadows of Heaven" and "While your lips are still red" together with "Angels fall first" are some of the many chances give by Nightwish

If you want something different I can suggest you a couple of really sad Italian, german or russian songs...here some:

Negramaro's "Un passo indietro"
BeAumdK4Z4c&ob=av3e

Elisa's italian best artist having performed many great songs also in English:

FKg4U6RudLQ&feature=fvst

bctVT-8oFcw

85a_g-UW3eA

And German Geboren Um Zu Leber (born to live)

If you want to stay to something more famous Untitled by Simple Plan is probaby the first choice:

Instrumental is better.

And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead "After the Laughter"
Aphex Twin "Flim"/"Avril 14th"

Stuff from soundtracks maybe? I'm fond of Danny Elfman, you can pick pretty much anything good from there.

I always found this song incredibly sad. Anyway by the sounds of it, it'd fit with a charity type theme...what kind of charity is it? The song goes "nobody knows just how you feel...today, nobody sees how hearts break."

E7SSC3ex-bA

This one works too, it's incredibly sad. It's about a man's memory of this woman that he loves, her life and her dying on skin cancer.

Fuck this song...it makes me cry everytime.. Was featured on a heart wrenching episode of scrubs.

...what kind of charity is it?

It's a combination of the Fred Hollows foundation and TOMS one for one eye care! So its all about providing optometry care for people in disadvantaged countries.

Very nice...Fred Hollows is a true hero.

This song kind of reminds me of Fred Hollows...with him watching over people, the less fortunate.

Broken record, I know, but this for me is the saddest song of all time. It's been used in a few films too, so it's perfect for presentations.

I prefer the original version of the song by Tim Buckley, also quite sad. Have you heard it too?
