Wonderful. If Kimiko can win this tournament, and she is good indoors, it would bring her back into the top 120 and give her a decent shot and at getting a direct entry into the AO, keeping in mind she is lined up to play a couple more ITFs after this.

as much as i think kimiko should probably have called it a career after the us open, it is amazing to see her determined enough to drop back down to itf level and keeping grinding away.

she obviously loves tennis but i would love to know what her goals and aims are?

Maybe the Olympics? I think I remember reading somewhere that she aims to retire at London 2012.

It surely has to do with the Olympics being played at Wimbledon, She absolutely loves Wimbledon and the opportunity to play there twice in a year is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Probably the exact same reason that Venus is doing her utmost to get back and play well too, would love to see a rematch of their fantastic match earlier this year, match of the tournament no doubt about it!

Finally, she's back on track.
Left hand injury kind a ruined whole 2 month, but since the end of Osaka HP open,
winning doubles title, she looks like regained some confidence.

Hope she'll come back to TOP100 soon and have a big damage at early 2012. :bounce:
