Hey guys. I think we should do kind of a weekly blog just like the WTA does with one player blogging from a tournament every day. Post one should include the list of tournaments and who blogs. Nthama will start by blogging from her home tournament Linz, who will go next?

Linz/Osaka/ITF Joue-les-tours - Nthamangela Mbangu-Zeric
Moscow/Luxembourg - Susan Day
YEC Istanbul/ITF Barnstaple - Aleesha Stosur
SEC Bali/ITF Ismaning - Siri Cornetsson

Nthamangela Mbangu Zeric's Monday Blog

Hey guys, it's me. First official blogger of FWTT... makes me kind of proud, although I was the one who had the idea of starting it up.
I arrived here in Linz on Friday and I was given the honour of assisting in the draw ceremony, picking the seeded players, while Austrian junior twins Nicole and Astrid Haas picked the rest of players.
I really feel at home here and so welcome. Currently, this is by quite far my favorite tournament in the world.
I will be having my third appearance here at the Generali Ladies Open, losing round one to Mésane two years ago and losing in the quarters to Hernich last year.
This year I am seeded as number two and I will be facing a qualifier in round one, that is never easy because you don't know what to expect or even whom.
Anyway, I'm definitely looking forward to playing my opening round.
In addition, I am also playing doubles despite the fact that Pammy is in Osaka. I am teaming up with Yanet, my first friend AND first doubles partner on the tour. We haven't played together since Budapest 2009. Maybe you remember our incredible run to the Wimbledon quarters that year, that was absolutely amazing.

Tonight, my husband Ammar is finally going to arrive accompanied by my two daughters Zoé and Irina. I cannot wait to finally see them again, I missed them so much over in Asia but I didn't want them to fly such a long time. They are scheduled to arrive at 9.16 PM. Can't wait!

Of course I am happy to answer your questions if you send any to me...
Good night, I'll write again tomorrow.
XO Nthama

Nthamangela Mbangu Zeric's Wednesday Blog

Hey guys, it's me again. I am sorry I could not blog yesterday but my family arrived on Monday and I just felt like I needed to catch up with so much about them. I missed my girls, I don't think I'll ever leave them alone at home again. I was just a lil afraid because of the Atomar danger in Japan. They are all doing fine.

Today I had my first match of the tournament, I faced Yanet Mori-Tu in the opener and despite a bad start I managed to defeat my good friend and doubles partner in a third set tie-break. I was relieved especially because it was the first time ever that Irina was present at one of my matches. I had to look over to her in between every point, I love her so much. My kids mean way more to me than tennis. One more reason not to go Istanbul. After my match which was the second one in the afternoon, I went to the showers. Then I went on a long walk with the girls and Ammar before meeting with Yanet and Luna for dinner at an awesome Chinese restaurant I really enjoy going to. I go there at least three times a week everytime I am in Linz.
After dinner, I went to bring my girls to bed and then headed back to practise court to work on singles with Ziyi first and then some doubles practise with Yanet, Siri and Harper. I really enjoyed the doubles practise with Siri and Harper, their doubles abilities are out of the world, every volley they hit reaches the place it should. We also had a practise match against them until 9 PM but we lost it 0-6, 5-7. We didn't manage to make a single break. They are too solid and really very used to teaming up but in the second set our service started to work off better so we could steal a few games but in the end they were just too strong. It was all so much fun.
After that we went back to our hotel, Yanet and me. We always live room to room when we are at the same tournaments since she's back. We let the evening find it's ending in a good glass of red wine in our suite. We have one with extra room for the kids but we can still hear them, Ammar and me. We enjoyed ourselves playing cards and of course, Yanet and Ammar won against me and Yanet's coach but it was still very much fun. I am really looking forward to playing tomorrow, the crowd was awesome today. I will be playing Marteena Huubere, I think she is solid and strong... I don't think I can win, I spent too little time on the practise court the last few weeks, doing promotion for the junior tour, having two kids and being a pro, is a 300%-job.
I'll try to catch up with you guys tomorrow again.
Nthama

Questions

Which is your favorite tournament of the year?
Easy for me. Linz, where I am currently at. I live at the border to Austria in Switzerland, so many of my friends come to watch and I feel like home here. The crowd is amazing.

What is your shoe size?
I don't know about American or English shoe sizes, in Swiss counting, it's 43 which is rather large for a woman. It's actually pretty hard finding high-heel shoes.

Who is your favorite actress?
I admire Miranda Hart, she is way too funny. But I also like Natalie Portman and Penelope Cruz. My favorite actress used to be Stephanie Glaser who died last year (R.I.P.)

Susan Day's Monday Blog

Hello everybody, I am so excited to be the 2nd official blogger of FWTT, I thought this was a great idea by Nthama. Speaking of Nthama, today she invited me to a teaching clinic today for the kids, it was so fun, Nthama is so good with kids I just hope I can be as good as her. I arrived here in Luxembourg yesterday coming back from a challenger in Jous-Les-Tours.
Today I saw my draw and I play a talented junior in the first qualifying round, I saw her play last week and I was very impressed, she does everything right and she can be very dangerous when her game fully develops. I feel confident right now because I have been having real good results both singles and doubles in the challenger level, beaten some really good players, and winning when I am not playing my best.
This week I am playing doubles with a girl i train with, Pippa Mydelton, this is her first ever professional tournament. She has got alot of weapons and can be very dangerous in the future. My doubles partner the last 3 weeks is in Moscow.
This week my coach isn't here with me, he is currently with his second protege an italain junior. My mom is here with me this week.

I hope you all enjoyed. See you all tom morrow.
Bye

Susan Day's Tuesday Blog

Hello everyone, today's blog is going to be short because nothing really happened.
The tournament starts tomorrow and I play first on center. Me and Pippa had a 3 hour practicing session today, we found are game are very complementary, and I think we can do good. Tonight is the player party I am going and I will talk about it tomorrow, along with my match.

Sorry for it being so short

Susan Day's Wednesday Blog

Hello everybody, last night's player party was amazing, I meet so many nice and wonderful people and can't wait until the next player party.
I am very ecstatic right now, I am in the main draw!! So in my first qualifying match I played very well, my opponent made me hit deep and paint the lines, I was up to the challenge and I made a lot of my kill shots, that gives me so much confidence.
In my second qualifying match, my opponent who beat me the last 2 times we played, so I was nervous going in. In the match again I made a lot of my kill shots, this is quite surprising because I usually never do. My opponent is a really good player, so beating her has given me a a lot of confidence going into the main draw.
Tomorrow I played Nthama on center court, I think it is going to be on T.V. It is obviously going to be a tough match because she is one of the best players in the world not by accident. I feel like I can win because I have been playing great and I have gotten used to the courts.

Okay that is all for now. Bye everyone, see you tomorrow.

Susan Day's Friday Blog

Hello everyone won both of my matches today.
In my singles match I had never before had heard or seen my opponent, so it took a little of getting use to, when I got a hold of it I never looked back when I won 10 out of the last 12 games.
In my doubles match with Pipa, it was much more close because our opponent were highly skilled veterans, so I was kind of surprised when we won.
My boyfriend arrived today, it is so nice to see him, he is here to support me.
Tomorrow I play the opponent I played in the last qualifying match, so going in she should have nothing to lose, but I should feel confident knowing I have already beat her on these courts. In doubles me and Pipa play Nthama and Bowden, so I know for a fact it is going to be tough.
That is all for today
Bye
