Indonesian rising star Angie is not bad either! As junior, she finished number 8 and in the world she is inside top 100 earners...2003, I am sure, Angie will earn more since she is entitled to compete in more tournaments! In her ecent interview, she is not really thinking about her earning, the most important is to play her best! Go champ!

Because several Asian players are more specialised in doubles, I prefered to take the overall prize money earnings, rather than to compare the singles results.

It is however still not fair to doubles players because of the huge difference in prize money between doubles and singles events.

Ai and Rika beat Suarez/VRP??? that's a great result!
so will this combination keep on going in '03? Ai has had a number of doubles partners this year...

Angie's doing pretty well! Hopefully she can sit amongst the rankings alongside Ai and Tammy - if not higher! ;)

She played 17 events this season - is she still under the restriction of number of events playable?

Hi, Gorecki...Angie finished her junior year this year will quite good result...I mean, she played few junior tourneys and she played in senior level at the same time...French Open Junior Singles Title, not bad at all! Aussie Open Junior Doubles Title, not bad too! And by closing 2002 with 2nd title in Pattaya...So, she will turn 18 this December 12th and it means she can freely choose whatever tourneys in WTA calendar! :wavey:  :wavey:
