In addition, Mbangu announced that she would go back to represent her original country, Switzerland, after the Olympics 2012.
"I don't want to steal Ruffy's chance for the Olympic doubles title before her retirement but I don't really feel like a player from Botswana."

Asked about the domination of Taliamanosoko, Mbangu replied:
"It's not easy, whatever you achieve, you will remain number two of your country forever. I will never be the number one Afro-Babe. In my opinion, Mpule or some other girl like Caroline Mutola should take over Ruffy's place after the Olympics 2012 or after the end of 2012. Ruffy is getting old. One should retire at their best. I don't want her to be remembered as some outside top 50 player who keeps losing to the likes of Gallet and Mayou. She is a role model for all young players, if she wants to stay in that position, she should know when it's time to leave."

Nthama on her husband and family:
"I am so happy to have a loving husband like Ammar by my side and two wonderful daughters. Tennis is not the most important thing in my life anymore. I am happy to pronounce that I am pregnant yet again. The first thing I will beat Ruffy at, will be the number of children (laughs). I feel like I am the happiest woman on earth right now.

On junior starlet Saikikimbondwe:
"Xhaka is incredible. I don't think there has ever been a domination like this before. I hope she can complete the Grand Slam at the Australian Open 2012. She must be the most successful junior tennis player ever already."

On how the tour is changing:
"So many new names around. My original best friends Luna, Tog or Emilia are on the leave, only popping up on the tour once in a while. Pamela is the world number one, Paula is leaving. It's weird how it all changes. But there are so many nice new players around, so I don't feel lonely."

On the comeback of Mori-Tu:
"Yanet was my first ever friend on tour. She is so nice. I missed her so much and I am absolutely frenetic about having her back on tour. Yanet is the best and I am so glad she is finding success so fast."

On failing to reach the YEC in doubles:
"Well, I dumped Jane last year, then my doubles partner Sanja retired, I failed to find success with Daria or Coco and now I am trying my best together with Pammy but we are too late. I hope we can reach the singles final against each other though :)."

Ruflina Taliamanosoko Press Release in Regards to Mbangu-Zeric's wedding

I am very happy that Nthama has found love in her life and married. I am also pleased that she is staying with Botswana through 2012 so we can help the country achieve recognition in tennis at the London Olympics.

Her comments about my age and ability do not bother me for she has never been ranked higher than me in singles or doubles. I hope one day she can experience the success that I am having at my current age.

Ruffy: This fat, slow, old hag just made finals of the US Open in singles and won the doubles title. ;) Congratulations to Mrs. Zeric, who continues to try to find happiness in things outside herself, for example her recent dramatic birth of child and marriage.

I'd been wondering when you'd change your nationality again. ;)

Giuseppina Benedetti: "I think Nthama is fat too. In fact, I think all the girls on the tour are fat. Like sometimes, during tournaments, I will see girls eat three meals a day. Disgusting. And they eat white bread...can you imagine the carbs? I think I have to throw up just thinking about it. Congratulations Nthama on getting married again. I guess I am about 5 kilos too heavy to find a husband".

That's okay Giusa. Maybe one day you can be skinny enough. Keep drinking diet coke!
