Madonna says she "loathes hydrangeas" after a fan gives them to her as a gift during a press conference in Venice, Italy.

Her spokesperson Liz Rosenberg told CNN:

“She’s entitled to like any flower she wants and she didn’t want to hurt the feeling of the hydrangeas of the world,” the rep said in a short statement. “No disrespect to the hydrangeas lovers of the world but she prefers different types of flowers.”

I'm not really the biggest fan of Madonna, but I also don't see the problem. Some people here are acting all high and mighty when they think they wouldn't dare ever do such a thing, but try getting a shitty gift, that you don't like whatsoever and there's no chance you ever will, and you'll act grateful and never look at it again. It's happened to most people. It's similar to pretending to read the card when money falls out. You don't really care about the message because something better came along, but you'll still pretend.

Besides, I hate Hydrangeas as well. They grow all over my garden like weeds during summer and then just die in the winter and look awful.
