Five games completely thrown away by Zvonareva. Radwanska did absolutely nothing.

Itīs simply true that the players do not possess the willingness or ability to deal with this defensive pushing. The pushers just need to stay steady, even when down and wait for the opponent to screw up.

Iīm not mad at Radwanska or Wozniacki for doing what they doing. Itīs smart on their part. Theyīd make the same idiotic mistake as Zvonareva, if they tried to dictate the rallies. So they donīt try.

I blame all these other players, who cannot beat that style on a regular basis, because they donīt possess the technique, skill, willingness or mental strength to overcome it. At least with Radwanska you have to be a bit concerned sheīll attack you or wrong-foot you here and there, but Wozniacki literally has nothing to hurt you, and players will still self-destruct.

She is a better athlete and can handle/absorb real power better than Radwanska. But at the medium pace Vika and Zvonareva hit their balls, Iīd say Radwanska with her new "No nonsense"-approach is better equipped to beat them than Wozniacki.

Of course Vera was utterly pathetic from 2-0 30-40.

Na's is actually doing really well now. She seems to have accepted that she isn't going to be able to play her normal game and is simply focusing now on trying to keep the ball in play no matter what and it is making a difference. She is starting to get some errors from Monica.

Moni really needs a good service game here. :scared:

Na Li is back in the mood where she is trying to hit winners and it's simply not going to happen for her. It must be so hard for a player with a mindset like Na Li to play Monica because you have to go against all your natural instincts that tell you to kill the ball. Monica just doesn't give players many balls they can kill.

I really do think people underestimate just how hard it is to handle all the spin that Monica puts on the ball. It can look like her opponent is simply making careless errors but often is it because they simply can't get their normal timing and hitting rhythm. When Monica is playing well she very difficult to rally with and she is very hard to hit winners against as well so what does a player do?

Anyone have a Goerges Makiri stream?

I'm searching too, but I think Moon Court isn't streamed. This is the flaw with having a tournament in China.... You have to put the bad Chinese players and their bad opponents on the first two courts at the expense of good (and attractive) tennis. Nothing against Little Jie, but her match isn't on the same level as Goerges-Kirilenko.
