Walking bye? :spit: She's Top 50.

If anything Robson is the walking bye needing a third set tiebreaker to beat a 15 year old ranked 600.

Ayumi will destroy her

Robson will destroy her!!! I'm sensing a deep run in this tournament, at least round four! With a little bit of luck even a semi or a final (I'm only whispering this because it might be just a little bit too early for her)

You're such a idiot. Robson was two points away from losing to a 15 year old ranked 600 in qualifying and now you think she'll make at least the fourth round? :spit: She'll be doing well to win six or seven games against Morita.

well, let's not be over the top.;) but yes, this is her time and I can definetely see her go through the first rounds with ease and facing Zvonareva in R3.

Robson will lead and then choke. So Morita in 3

Nope.

Laura showed great mental toughness against a player who will be more tricky and talented to her than Morita in that Towsend kid as I documented. Getting into the main draw was a big relief on her shoulders talking to her yesterday, and that will make her relaxed and win this match I think quite impressively against a tough, solid player in Morita. In fact, I think Robson at least makes Round 3.

Laura Robson has arrived on the scene now people, be prepared for her rise. The WS shoes need filling and Laura is gearing herself up to jump straight into them.

Laura in 2 sets, Morita's ballbashing will be blasted left right and centre by the British prodigy :armed:

I saw Laura's final round qualifying match and really she was in pretty awful form throughout the match. Unless she cleans up her tennis, I don't think she really has a chance.

Expected two matches in one day in those conditions, now she has some rest, better play to be expected.today

Agree with Noctis. Its hard for any player to play twice in one day, especially when the first match is a three set epic. If you read the reports of her 2nd round qualy match, it seems Laura was playing brilliant and was obviously just tired later on. CANNOT WAIT to see this though!

I don't get why people are acting like Morita is a pushover for Robson. There is a reason that Morita's Top 50 and Laura is 176. Laura has never beaten a Top 50 player either. And also she has a 2-9 record in WTA maindraw matches (one of the wins was a retirement).

Also, when Morita was the same age as Laura (17y7m), she was ranked higher than Laura currently is by quite some margin also.

Consistent players always climb up the rankings quicker in the late teen years, but what Laura lacks in consistency she more than makes up for with her timing. Morita relied on whoring the asian circuit for her points anyways, no massive indicator tbh.

Robson also played some asian tournament this year but she just can't earn many large points here:cool:
