That's CBS Sports, NY and Sports Radio WFAN's Ann Liguori, Noted Tennis Reporter/fan. I posted this, since everyone was complaining about the CBS Male Tennis Reporter. She may make more sense to some of you.

Liguori: My Picks To Win The 2011 US Open
August 26, 2011 10:41 AM

Serena Williams is seeded 28th, she could face 4th seed Victoria Azarenka in the third round. Being in the top half of the draw, Serena could eventually meet top seed Caroline Wozniacki in one semi-final.

Venus Williams, who is unseeded this year due to a hip injury that wiped out half of her season, is in the bottom half of the draw with 2nd seed Vera Zvonareva of Russia. Venus could face 22nd seed Sabine Lisicki of Germany in the second round and third seed Maria Sharapova in the other semi-final.

If Serena is 100 percent healthy, she is too powerful and determined not to win her 4th US Open title. Who will she meet in the final? I’ll predict that Serena will play 5th seed Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic, the 21-year-old leftie who disposed of Sharapova in the finals of Wimbledon to win her first Grand Slam title.

I expect the talented Kvitova to have a stunning career and add some fun and panache to the women’s draw.

Who do you think will win it all? Let Ann know in the comments below!

@Oliviasmith

No. I know Petra is in there, and that's what actually got my attention. But I only posted it, cause it was another CBS reporter (after today's festivities, with the other reporter). It just so happened, she picked Petra to make the finals. Honestly (smile). Lol. I thought someone would think/point that out. It's kool. Lol

There all just opinions, anyway. I don't take them too seriously (one way or the other).

Thx for responding.

Li Na and Kvitova do not understand that after a slam win, there are stll may more matches to be won. If Kvitova makes it far enough to meet Maria in the QF, she will be difficukt to beat. So far she has nt aroused from her wimby win, told you she should have celbrated huge on the court, Instead she was so calm after that mp! look how long her post celebration is lasting.
Anway she knows how to play on HC, she won Brisbane F didn't she?

Well, players like that are yet another proof of the fact that winning a slam is no guarantee of being the best anymore.

Serena just needs to win. I hear people say Maria might win if someone beats Serena for her.

I think Maria needs to play Serena and win, to make the us open everything it should be for her. Some say that simply could not happen. I think it could.

Do people think Kvitovas game is just going to CLICK on the courts of Flushing Meadows, New York? Her game since Wimbledon has been a mess to put it lightly. Inconsistent ball basher comes to mind. And it seems, recently at least, anyone with a steady game can beat her.

I hope her game does click at the US Open, but just seems like wishful thinking.

Yes she did.

She beat Petkovic in January, on hard courts, at Brisbane, for her first of 4 titles (so far) this year.

I expect her to pick up some more titles, before the year ends as well. Hopefully, the US Open, will be one of them? :bounce:

We'll see!?

Stop Hating, cause your a Wozniaki fan. You make no sense.

The year is not over, and Petra will win more titles/Grandslams this year, next year and for the rest of her career.

Worry about your own Slamless player, who's struggling much worse (didn't she lose 4X at one point), Wozniaki. Congrats on her win today, by the way! Progress! I bet you happy now, huh!?

I know you couldn't help it though. Hater! SMH. Lol.

Kvitova connects way better with her shots on grass than on fast HCs, partly because of the bounce.

Very possible and actually probable.

The only person Petra really hates playing is clearly Petkovic, who does just a fine job at really getting Petra's serve back down the middle and hard, It's a weird matchup that just is one of those "That players matches up just so well with me" kind of deals.

Thankfully for her, she won't see Petra in the final unless they meet in the final.

Kvitova
:happy::lol:

She sucks on hardcourt, she can't move well and she's a joke of a player on the surface
Someone will take out her early at the Us Open anyway.
Her Wimbledon title was a complete fluke, obviously.
