Great win! :worship: I don't think she has much of a chance to qualify, but playing a GSQ again must feel amazing for her and now she even gains 40pts. :D Hopefully these are not her last USO. :)

OMG. :D I'm really happy for this lady. :bounce: Such a shame she is playing against Erakovic now. :(

Why does everyone love Rampre so much?

Because she is an incredibly joyful and sweet person with a great attitude who lives and breathes tennis every day of her life. :)

I though Rampre is American Girl

Aug 23rd, 2011, 06:12 PM
Why does everyone love Rampre so much?

Because she didnīt give up despite having personal and health problems and she can (serve-)volleying :hearts:

Aug 23rd, 2011, 06:13 PM
Wow, just noticed Rampre hit 13 aces! :worship:

Two years ago I thought Olivia was a lock on the top 50. Played out of her mind and had posted really promising results all year. Now she's barely top 200 :sobbing:

Is this her? :awww:

That's Amanda Fink

I'm so happy for Petra. I saw her in 2007 and to see the improvement on/off the court is amazing. She knows she isn't getting any younger and is such a breath of fresh air. GO PETRA! :cheer:

I watched the second set of this match and Petra had the best serve out of any woman in the qualifying, hands down. She had 9 aces in that set and while serving at 2-0, actually held at love with four aces in a row:eek:

The problem is that as good as her serve is and as speedy as she is, she didn't hit a single groundstroke winner the entire set and her backhand is a major liability. If Rogowska got the serve back and the rally went longer than a few shots, she won the point most of the time. That being said, I think Petra has the potential to be a solid top 150 player, which would be amazing considering she's been languishing in the 400s for a decade, but somebody like Erakovic in the next round will make quick work of her.

As for Rogowska, same old story. One or two brilliant games followed up by three or four of total crap.
