her match win leader status not under threat after all :spit:

We are hunted by Oudin
It is a strategic self downplay of expectations

Why are people surprised at this? McHale was always taking this... she beat Sexlana on clay earlier this year, and she seems the type who'd get fired up by crowd support.

This. I forgot about that. And yes... She is young, and just as Oudin did (when she was doing well), the crowd hype only makes her that much better.

It's still McFail, guys.

Sveta is not a walking bye, because she always seems to play well at some point during the match. You have to compete with Sveta long enough to force her into error mode.

Good job Xtina :inlove: not exactly surprising though, based on Kuzzie's form :haha:.

I have to say, she is far from the McFail I thought she was in her previous matches I had seen, nevertheless the Shoedin route is still very possible :help:.

Call her McHale call her McFail call her whatever you want...the biggest thing is she seems to be gaining consistency each tournament and learning how to win at this level...it was only a matter of time before this started happening though I'm even more impressed that she's beating top 20 players REGARDLESS of their form...this won't be an Oudin repeat either...two different paths, two different playing styles, and two very different personalities. Can't wait to see her at the Open. Keep it up Christina! #teammchale

The difference between McWIN and Oudin is that she doesn't buy the hype from media like Oudin did.

Congrats Christina.

I really don't get the comparison at all, and I am a fan of Oudin as well.

I really love Xtina's game, great win.

This is why I stop watching tennis. When I see such a talent as Kuznetsova piss it all away. Uh, I can't talk about it anymore except, Mchale's the reason I switch back on, when I see someone who's not the most talented but trying her heartsrings out everytime she plays.

I don't think Sexlana has reached walking BYE status yet, but she'll win a couple of rounds and bomb in the 3rd round. I'll be shocked if she goes any further.

ahaha, dont think she would have the patience to be on the tour again:lol:
but she'll be in New York to cover a tv show with Eurosport channel, I'm sure she'll go and see her friend sveta there.;)

Kuznetsova is so umpredictable, she always surprise us in the good or the bad like these time... So nobody can make a proonostic about her US Open.

i still have no idea how or why sveta is still top 20? i cant remember her last decent win or deep run in a tournament.

mchale has the sort of steady game that sveta just cant deal with right now as she is in full error mode.

Early in the year Sveta was okay. The 3rd set at the AO with Fran, played Caro in Tier I Dubai final.
After Dubai she really dropped off, and hasnt competed since February, besides a decent FO.

Totally agree with you! IMO the second part is worse coz she has came back to Larissa who has no clue how to improve Sveta's play and mental attitude.
As for me Sveta is done in this season. She's slow, makes zillion of UE, gets frustrated easliy and so on.
As Metallica was singing... Sad but true...
