US Open 2011 Seeds

When will they be released? Does anyone know?

On Friday, I think. Well, that's what I've been told. Because Serena has to phone them on Thursday evening and tell them where she's wants seeded.

It's probably before Friday, cause I think they release the draw on Thursday, if I'm not mistaken (or ESPN, has been wrong)?

and Seeds are based on Rankings...

so when are the seedings announced? draw comes out the 25th, thursday. I thought they were suppose to come out today? :confused:

It is pretty irritating that the US Open site doesn't tell you when the seeds will be announced. It does say that it'll be based on the 8/22 rankings but it's irritating that you'd have to check the entry list and the rankings to determine seeds-- and that is assuming that the seeds will go strictly by the rankings, as the site claims. Why is it a big deal to just say that the seeds are coming out on... whenever they are.

They used the current Rankings for the Seeds 1-33 with Kim Out.

Serena will be 28th.
