I plan on seeing all my faves in the Q draw, which are Georgatou, Gallovits-Hall, Koryttseva, Flipkens, Krajicek, Kostova, Marosi, Chakhnashvili, and any American girls.

And I’ll also make sure to watch other players that I really want to see, which includes promising young players like Robson, Garcia, Mladenovic, Larcher de Brito, Babos, the Pliskova twins, Kolar, Barty, etc., and also girls who used to be ranked much higher like Groenefeld, Wozniak, Kremer, Domachowska, Malek, etc. :p

I’ll do reports and photos, but the photos will have to wait until after the US Open since I’ll be busy :p

Any requests? I‘ll try my best! :wavey:

PS-And I promise my photos will be much better than last time. I got a better camera now

I'm planning on going to at least 2 days of qualies. It all depends on work though. I'd love to go for more than that but we'll see :p

The weather is supposed to be fine all week so it won't be like last year's qualies where I went 3 days and I was rained out for 2 of them and I barely saw any tennis until the 3rd day :tears:

And I'll be at the main draw too, but I'm not sure which day :p. So far I have tickets for the first night session but I might have to give them up :p

Last year I went twice during the MD and had tickets for the Friday womens SFs and couldn't make it so I had to sell them and they were in the first few rows :sobbing:

Going to the USO for the first time this year. :) Any advice for going to qualifying? I'll be there Friday, which should be the last day of qualifying. Can I expect to see some of the main draw players practicing, or not really?

TBH, I've never gone early to qualies but finally this year I will get there early :D

But I've heard that they give you a sheet when you get there of what times and courts the players will be practicing on. I've heard that people have seen many players on Armstrong and Grandstand, like Djokovic, Ivanovic, Jankovic, Nadal, etc. ;)

Okay so I have a problem
Some relatives from Greece came and I had no idea that they were coming so now I have them staying at my house so I will try my best this week to ditch them as much as possible to go to the qualies :oh:

I'm 99% sure that I'm going tomorrow. Matches I'm planning on watching:

WTA:
-Georgatou vs. Kolar (Full match, this is the one I want to see most)
-Boserup vs. Kostova (I like both so it's a 2 for 1 :p)
-Brengle vs. Malek
-Beygelzimer vs. Flipkens
-Chakhnashvili vs. Lu
-E.Bogdan vs. Knapp
-U.Radwanska vs. Groenefeld
-Voskoboeva vs. Alvarez-Teran
-Voracova vs. Krunic
-Kulikova vs. Garcia
-Albanese vs. Buzarnescu
-Jones vs. Glatch
-Kr.Pliskova vs. Garcia-Vidagany

ATP:
-Zopp vs. Bubka (Just to see if Vika is there :oh:)
-Niland vs. Cervenak
-Ryderstedt vs. Dabul
-Bozoljac vs. Witten
-Delic vs. Donskoy
-Dancevic vs. Clement

*I'll also try and see whatever MD players are practicing and apparently there will be some autograph sessions this year so I'll try to go to them . I won't be there the whole day so I don't know how long I'm staying for, but the matches I listed are the ones I want to see :p

*Obviously that is 13 WTA matches and 6 ATP so I won't watch them all, since it won't be possible to watch so many matches, and I don't know when I'm going/leaving, and I'm not watching anything else during Eirini's match

I don't think she is playing until Wednesday, but I will try my best to see her since I know that she is a future star ;)

Have a great time!! :)

Can you please get some Ula pics if you can.

Thanks :D

And I'll try, and Ula vs. ALG was one of the matches I wanted to see most when the draw came out, but now I see that they'll play around the same time as Eirini . But I'll definitely try to catch some of it as Georgatou will probably lose easily  (unless Kolar chokes again :p)

@Daniela-Is-Mine: Well yes :p. How did you last through Z.Kucova? :help:

@LegionArgentina: Sorry, I didn't see except I saw match point of Alvarez-Teran :p

@ameliemomo: I only saw a little bit of Caroline, but I expected her to be much better ;)

@Domachokeska: No, sorry I didn't see her because I got there after her match

QUALIES DAY 1 REPORT:
Matches I saw:
Chakhnashvili vs. Lu (most)
Flipkens vs. Beygelzimer (parts)
Georgatou vs. Kolar (ALL)
Garcia vs. Kulikova (some)
Larcher de Brito vs. Tsurenko (some)
And there were A LOT of matches where I just watched a few points, I’ll explain why later

Okay so I got there around 1:30 and I entered by the practice courts and I watched Wawrinka hit some and then I went to Armstrong and Grandstand to see who was practicing there. Zvonareva was on Armstrong and she was not looking to good. She was hitting just forehands and most of them went long. Things are not looking good for her. I took some pics, but as I said NO PICS WILL BE POSTED HERE UNTIL AFTER THE OPEN. Some lady came up to me and said “Do you know who that is?” and I said “Zvonareva” and then she went and told her husband “That’s Zronavera” :rolls:. Btw, many people criticize Vera for being a counterpuncher, but she was really hitting the ball hard and playing aggressive, hitting much harder than when I saw her last year. But nothing was going in. Then I went to Grandstand and I saw Tipsarevic there and immediately left because I HATE that guy . I think it’s really sad that Tipsarevic must’ve had more than 3x the people watching him than Zvonareva, when Tipsarevic is pretty unknown to casual fans, and Zvonareva is last year’s runner-up and current #2, and she was playing on the bigger court .

So then I went to Court 15/16 (they’re next to each other) and I watched Flipkens-Beygelzimer and Chakhnashvili-Lu at the same time. I wanted Flipkens and Chakhnashvili since they are players who I always root for and neither of them won . I’ll start with Chakhnashvili. First, her hair is much different then I expected. I expected big, poofy black curly hair like we usually see in pictures but instead her hair was straight (a little poofy but she tried to keep it straight  ) and the color was sort of reddish-brown so she must’ve dyed it :p. Anyways, I wasn’t really paying attention until the first set TB and Maka won. By watching this match you can easily tell that Maka is more of a clay-courter and Lu hits hard and flat so she’s better on the faster surfaces. Both players had crowd support. Maka had her team cheering for her and on the other side of the court there was this girl waving a Georgian flag after every point Maka won which I thought was really cool since she probably lives in NY and I’m sure USO is the only chance for her to see Georgian athletes live since there are not too many of them in other sports (Unless she goes to Atlanta vs. NY in the NBA :p). Lu had a lot of Chinese-Americans cheering for her so the atmosphere was pretty nice. The second set was still close, but Lu raised her level a bit and she sort of figured out Maka’s game. The third set was a disaster for Maka. She just gave up and totally didn’t care. She would try hard in patches and when things wouldn’t go her way she would give up for a few games, then get motivated again and then stop. She just looked tired and it was really hot out there, and Lu took advantage and won

Beygelzimer is such a bitch. She was bitching and complaining about anything and everything. Flipkens was much worse than when I saw her in 2009. There were a lot of fun points in this match with both players at net. Beygelzimer got injured and took an injury time out and then I went to the bathroom and when I got out I saw EIRINI GEORGATOU walk by and I was stalking her and following her :rolls:. She went to watch Flipkens-Beygelzimer since she was next on that court. She was sitting with a few people and then some guy who worked there and knew her asked her how she was and how her ankle was and she said that she is well and her ankle is okay, so that’s a relief that she’s feeling better now. Eirini was stretching and jogging around the court and I was watching her do that so it was cool to see Georgatou, Flipkens, and Chakhnashvili at the same time. Anyways, Beygelzimer complains about everything when she was wrong every time :spit:. Flipkens lost and TBH I don’t even remember a lot of this match, it’s all a blur to me now :p

My next match needs it’s own post

Where do I start? :rolls:
This match made my whole Summer, GEORGATOU VS. KOLAR. I will never forget this match for the rest of my life :worship:
Peak WTA :hearts:
Nastja “Nasty” Kolar is such a bitch :help:. You have to see her live to believe it. There is seriously something wrong with this girl. Before the match I was excited not only for Eirini, but because I thought Nastja had potential to be a fave of mine in the future. Well that won’t happen ever. I hope she matures one day, because she is worse than An.Rodionova and Zahlavova-Strycova :tape:. This match had everything. I wish it was televised. I was sitting right by Kolar’s camp and she had like 10-12 people cheering for her and Georgatou had maximum 5, unlike last year where she had like 15. So to start, Georgatou’s grunt will be made fun of in the future :tears:. I don’t remember it being like this when I saw her last year. Her grunt reminds me of Petkovic’s. Kolar has no grunt, instead she does this weird thing where she bites her lip every time she hit’s the ball . So Kolar’s camp was coaching her the whole time, talking to her in Slovenian (or is it Serbo-Croatian?). Anyways sometimes when they would say “Ajde” and “Bravo” it was obvious they were just trying to pump her up, which I think was fine, but when Kolar was talking to them in Slovenian and they were having conversation back, it was so pathetic. The umpire told them to stop but they kept on going and he didn’t even care. Seriously, I’m not joking, it was so bad. One time during a changeover she walked right to them and talked to them and they gave her advice and no one did anything about it :o. I wish they would enforce this rule more. TBH, I thought Eirini was going to lose since she was coming back from injury, and I always bring bad luck to Greek players and I never saw one win live, but I’m so glad she won this match. Kolar has a nice serve. The stats don’t lie, she had 11 aces. But if there was hawkeye then she only had like 6-8, but still good. Her forehand is a huge weapon and her backhand really isn’t that strong but not a liability either. She reminds me of a young Ana Ivanovic with a similar style of play. EVA ASDERAKI came and watched the match and she looked great. She had her hair down and looked like a supermodel :hearts:. The stats from the match are obviously wrong. Georgatou didn’t have 0 winners and Kolar only 11, there were much more :p. Kolar had more winners but also more UE. Now for Eirini, she is just solid. No huge weapons, but she plays well and sort of reminds me of Jie Zheng. Her forehand is really nice and her backhand can also do some damage, but she has a height disadvantage . She also volleys perfectly. She hit some nice volleys in the match, especially one which was a behind-the-back drop volley, it was a sick shot :yeah:. Anyways, Georgatou can be annoying for some, constantly screaming Allez, Pame, Ajde/Haide, Come on, Vamos, etc. That really got to Kolar’s head and she kept laughing at Eirini whenever she would cheer for Kolar’s UE’s. Kolars coaches are assholes. Not only was it gross that some of them were barefoot, but two of them kept on making fun of Eirini and she hit a really bad serve that landed near the baseline and they were dying laughing, which I thought was inappropriate as the coaches of her opponent. They were just so annoying and one time Eirini put a ball up her skirt and her skirt was stuck on her shirt so one of her legs showed more skin than the other and I was laughing because she didn’t realize until a few points later, but they were just so immature :o. They thought she was so stupid and I’m glad Kolar lost. Nastja was just rude to Eirini the whole time. There was one point in the match where Eirini was cheering all of Kolar’s UE’s and then Eirini hit a nice winner and then Kolar said something like “Bravo, now you know when to cheer” :spit:. Georgatou was so polite with the ballkids though. She would say “towel please” and “thank you”. One time Georgatou hit a let cord winner and Kolar was so frustrated and Georgatou not only held up her hand, but she said “Sorry!” so I thought that was very sportsmanlike of her IMO. Wow, this report is such a mess and so unorganized . Next time I should take notes to make it easier :p. And after Kolar won the second set, Eirini took a bathroom break and I had to walk around because I was so nervous and my legs fell asleep. Luckily when I came back I found a different seat right behind Eirini’s chair and it was the best decision I made. More people came in and by the end of the match all of the stands were full (there was only one side with stands though, but they were full and a lot of people were standing behind and some even standing on the bleachers on the next court, and it really was a great match IMO with many long rallies. Everyone there wanted Kolar except for a few Greeks like myself, Georgatou’s camp, and a few other Greeks here and there. There were these three Greeks in front of me during the third set and they were so stupid. They knew NOTHING about tennis and just came to see a Greek, which was fine by me, and you could tell they were Greek since one had a Greek football NT kit on and when Eirini would say “Allez” they all thought she was saying “Nai”, which has the same ending sound as “Allez”, but it actually sounded like it could be true since “Nai” means “Yes” in Greek so she was celebrating like that, but I obviously knew she was saying “Allez”. Also those people were obviously drunk by looking at them.

Time for a new paragraph. Eirini raced out to a 5-2* lead in the third set, but the crowd was still behind Kolar, even non-Slovenians. Everyone kept on calling Eirini the annoying girl. Well at 5-2 things changed quickly. There was a nice little exchange during the changeover. After Eirini cheered one of Kolar’s UE’s on GP, Kolar said to Eirini loud and clear “WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM?!” :speakles:. I was stunned and everyone was laughing and in shock. Kolar only got a warning for that, no point penalty. Then there were two really long games where Georgatou got robbed. Seriously, so many of Kolar’s serves were faults called aces. Probably like 3-5 of them were aces, and others first serves. In the game at 5-3*, Kolar hit two aces that were clearly out, and then she hit another serve that was clearly out and Eirini hit it into the net and then Eirini said “That was out, no?”, and it was clearly out. Even after Kolar said that to Eirini, everyone still was cheering for Kolar and called Eirini the annoying one still :sobbing:. They were just idiotic, and I can’t believe they were all still supporting Kolar. The Slovenians I understand, but the rest? Anyways everyone walking by said “Greece vs. Slovakia”, “A Greek vs. a Slovakian”, “She’s from Greece and she’s from Slovakia”, etc. after seeing “GRE vs. SLO”. I heard that at least 5 times, like no “SLO” is Slovenia not Slovakia :help:. Not one person said Slovenia! Anyways, people might think Georgatou choked a little in the end, but she really didn’t, the chair umpires just gave aces to Kolar that really weren’t aces. By the end of the match I was a mess when Kolar held for 5-4*. But then IIRC Georgatou held to love, but I could be wrong. Right before Eirini’s MP, Kolar hit a shot into the net and smashed her racket. By then it looked like she was throwing in the towel and Eirini stayed calm and composed and won in the end and I still just don’t know how she did it, but she did and I was so happy it was one of my favorite matches of all time. I was surprised that Kolar actually shook hands with Eirini but in the end she was just laughing at Eirini’s fistpumps and swearing in Slovenian every point so she didn’t care. Oh, and one time Eirini hit a ball long and Kolar did a huge “Ajde!” to rub it in Eirini’s face :rolls:

I must say I was impressed with Kolar’s attitude after the match. Some kid asked for a picture with her and she agreed, I thought she would just want to leave but she was nice to the fans, so she got some respect back for that. But Eirini was so nice to everyone, and only the Greeks cared about her. Everyone else was annoyed with her. Yes, I understand she was fistpumping like Ivanovic, but she wasn’t cursing and swearing and being rude and nasty like Kolar. Eirini did nothing wrong and I don’t know why she got so much hate from the crowd, but she was so happy that us Greeks stayed for her and the look on her face was so nice to see. I went up to her and so did other Greeks, and I got an autograph from her and some other Greek fans as well as my self got pics with her and she was really sweet and adorable. Seriously I would love to see her make it big one day, she is just so nice with the fans and I spoke to her in Greek congratulating her and thanking her for her autograph and picture and she talked to all of us in Greek and told us to be good and to come back on Thursday for her next match. I’m so excited and I hope I can go to her next match!

I missed a ton of other matches I wanted to see, but I didn’t care because this was the best thing that could happen and I’m just so proud of Eirini. It’s great to see nice girls like Eirini win over girls like the nasty Nastja. I also saw Eirini’s camp later on but she wasn’t there. At this point, I was so tired and was just walking around the rest of the time to get some exercise because I couldn’t sit down anymore since I was glued to my seat for Eirini’s match. I went back to the practice courts and saw Zvonareva there practicing her serve, so I saw her twice and I also saw Doi with a male hitting partner and on another court it looked like Diyas, Amanmuradova, and some other girl. I was not impressed at all with Garcia or Kulikova. I only saw a few points of Linette vs. Savinykh and both were hitting well. I got autographs from Georgatou, Savinykh, Kulikova, Lertcheewakarn, Voskoboeva, and Ryderstedt.

Other observations:
-MFAT really is FAT, which is a shame because she hits well
-Zvonareva is much taller and much prettier in person ;)
-Lesia Tsurenko is so hot :hearts:
-Zarina Diyas hit’s the ball so beautifully
-Krunic isn’t as short as she looks :p
-Literally no one was watching E.Bogdan vs. Knapp (even in the third set) or Diyas vs. Laurendon.
-Voskoboeva is very sweet with the fans.
-Z.Kucova has the worst grunt in the history of tennis, I think she’s even louder than last year :o
-Janowicz grunts like a WTA player :oh:
-I barely watched her match, but Floris looks annoying :p
-I walked by Giorgi vs. Gatto-Monticone a few times and couldn’t stop laughing. GOATmila thinks she’s some star it’s HILARIOUS. Just the way she walked, everything. She looks like she is so full of herself and it just looked so funny to see how she thinks she is a superstar :rolls:
-Nikola Ciric is really tall
-I walked by the Rodionova girls and saw Anastasia dressed up in casual clothes and she still scares me and I walked the other way . She gave me one of her infamous death stares in 2009 and now I’m afraid of her :spit:
-The new Court 17 is no where near ready…
-Garcia puts the towel over her face during changeovers like Zvonareva.

Larcher de Brito vs. Tsurenko:
Tsurenko is really HOT. She’s tan and has blonde streaks in her hair and it just looks really HOT. MLDB was not as loud as she was in 2009 when I saw her in the MD. Tsurenko’s mom and another lady were really annoying :o. Larcher de Brito was a mess. I saw a few games here and there and I then I saw MLDB’s second set choke. What a disaster. She was actually hitting really well on some points, but she was just a mess and she choked badly :o. There were a lot of ballbashing rallies and sometimes Tsurenko would throw in a drop shot and MLDB wouldn’t even bother to go for them, and they really weren’t good dropshots. I left after the second set, and I can’t believe how MLDB won this match since she was crying. She was hysterical crying during the changeover at 4-3* in the second set. Yes, I understand that she choked but seriously WTF is her deal? She was up a set on serve in the second set, so it’s not like she lost the set. When she lost the set, then she was crying again which I understood, and she also smashed her racket and she just looked like she was giving up. She was letting Tsurenko hit easy winners because she wasn’t even trying towards the end of the second set. I really have absolutely no idea how MLDB won in the end.

Maybe you start using paragraphs. :p

Forgot to add: I was watching the last game of Linette vs. Savinykh and Asderaki was going to be in the chair for the next match, which was Strode vs. Ciric and I was sitting down and I turned to look at the scoreboard and then I turned back around and Eva Asderaki was sitting right next to me and she scared me because she just came out of nowhere

Thanks for the reports. Kolar is known to be annoying but to be honest your report made Gerogatou sound worse than her. Nothing more annoying if your opponent celebrates your mistakes, it's not good etiquette.

Seriously I can completely understand Nastja's behaviour. If an opponent consistently cheered on my UEs, I would think of them of an absolute disgrace. I am always calm and quiet on a court though to keep concentration.

it's a pitty for kolar's behaviour because she is very young! I agree that it is annoying the opponent cheer in the UE but i think that kolar and her box were more annoying!i think that koler is a LOSER!:help: :( :o

Hellas did say she was saying "ALLEZ" on UEs  I think this is quite annooying, unless the points have lasted for a while and that you really worked for it it's not really necessary to show your emotion on those kind of points.

Idk Eirini's ace total for the match but if I had to guess I would say 0. The US Open and other slams normally just put the winner and UE total for these matches as the ace and DF total. I've noticed that for awhile now.

@Ferg: No. I saw a few points but that's it :p

@Inger67: I agree. I don't think she hit any aces, but she definitely hit winners. Also Kolar hit more than 11 winners, so I think the stats are just wrong ;)

@Vincey!: Well they were definitely laughing at Eirini on that terrible serve she hit and her "wardrobe malfunction". I don't know what they were saying in Slovenian, but when they were having conversation with Nastja, it clearly was coaching and they were talking about the match

Day 2:
I was only there for about 2.5-3 hours so I don’t have much to report on :p
Krajicek vs. Camerin:
I got there when Krajicek was leading 3-1 in the third set and Misa didn’t stop. She was playing really well, serving well, hitting well. She was playing like how I remember her from her 2007 Wimbledon run. I was very impressed with Misa and I’m really confident about her chances to qualify. There were some nice rallies in this match. I should’ve wrote these reports right after it because now I don’t remember much. But overall Misa was really solid and she looked very pretty too. She was nice after the match with the fans and I got an autograph from her and then she was getting interviewed in Dutch by a few people. I promised a bigger report from this match so feel free to ask me questions as maybe then more things will come to mind :p

Fischer vs. Paire:
I saw the second set TB here and it was a really entertaining match. Paire is a really good player and he looks pretty young so I’m sure he has time to improve. He is really tall and hits big. He made too many UE’s at crucial points in the TB, and that’s why he lost.

Tomljanovic vs. Meusburger:
I only saw some of this match during Krajicek-Camerin and Tomljanovic seemed to be playing well and Meusburger was okay. A lot of people shit on Yvonne and make it seem like she’s a pusher and she wasn’t extremely aggressive or anything, but she was much better than I thought she would me and much more offensive than people say. Ajla had some solid groundies.

Cadantu-Evtimova:
This “Battle of the Balkans” quickly turned into a loud screamfest. Both girls had very loud grunts. Evtimova is basically a brainless ballbasher and Cadantu is one of those clay court moonballers, except she had a really strong backhand and played very aggressive from that side. I saw most of the third set. It was really competitive and there were some nice rallies in this match. Dia would say “Haide” after every point she won, even UEs (see, I told you guys Georgatou wasn’t the only one). Evtimova sort of looks like Benesova and Cadantu looks like Jovanovski from far away but when you get closer she looks sort of like a mix between Jovanovski and Liezel Huber . It was sort of a sloppy match but basically it was just a lot of long rallies usually ending in UEs. But it was very entertaining and exciting :yeah:

Wozniak vs. Koehler:
I was watching this match while I was watching Koryttseva vs. Marosi. Some girl who I’m assuming was Dorota Wozniak was there and she looked like Aleks and she was hot :hearts:. We all know how Aleks plays, but I don’t think many of us know about MJK. MJK is a lefty and by watching her play she seems like a claycourter. A few people walked by and thought Wozniak was Wozniacki . MJK had some Portuguese ATP players cheering for her and when ever they would say “Maria”, Koryttseva’s parents would look over to that court only to realize they meant Koehler not their daughter :awww:. Like Ajla-Yvonne, I didn’t see much of this match, only during changeovers from Koryttseva-Marosi, but the last game was really exciting and I think MJK saved a MP or two before closing it out. From what I saw, the quality of tennis wasn’t great in this match

Koryttseva vs. Marosi:
I saw pretty much the whole match. I cheer for both players so I just had to be there . Both girls have better forehands than backhands. Kati played well, but she was too inconsistent. Mariya ran down a lot of balls but she was also dictating play with her forehand. It was a very exciting match, especially in the end. The 6-0 set for Koryttseva wasn’t a huge difference from the other 2 sets, it was just that Mariya was winning the important points there. Mariya’s parents were so cute. They were hugging each other in the third set and they both looked so nervous and were cheering loudly for Mariya. Mariya was wearing a hat remembering 9-11 so I thought that was nice. It was a shame to see a loser in this match because I liked both and Kati really needs the points, but Mariya won in the end and I was happy for her. Once again, it was a huge mistake to wait before writing this report. Now I forgot a lot of things :o. For example, I remember there was a WTA player watching this match, but now I can’t remember who :sobbing:

Random notes:
-National pride was in full force with national flags for many players.
-Krunic walked right past me but I didn’t even notice her because I was texting and then later on I saw her. Her hair is really long
-I saw Julia Cohen watching the end of Cadantu-Evtimova and I couldn’t stop laughing. Do any of you guys remember that video of her where she was being interviewed and she looked drunk? I think there was a thread for it in the GM a few years ago. She looked so drunk too it was so funny :rolls:. And during long rallies she had her mouth wide open and she was so interested in it ;)
-Mladenovic was walking around for a while watching matches.
-I got autographs from just Krajicek and Evtimova.
-Overall the quality of play this year is much better than past years.
-I didn’t take any pics on day 2. Sorry but I was only going for a little so I really wanted to focus on watching the tennis :p
-I walked by Chiudinelli-Nielsen and Marco C seemed like a big crowd favorite and a lot of people were pulling for him to win ;)

DAY THREE REPORT:
Player Practices:
Well I saw Sharapova, Soderling/Gonzalez and two other players, Petkovic/Kanepi, Dulko, Amanmuradova/An.Rodionova, Craybas/Johansson, etc.
On Armstrong I saw Federer/Gasquet. The rain really ruined everything but it was still an amazing day and Nadal and Kvitova both walked by the practice courts, they were too far away for pics though.

Georgatou vs. U.Radwanska:
Well there was a short rain delay in the beginning and then a very long one with Eirini leading 2-1. I saw Eirini and her coach come out one time to see if they were drying the courts and they were, but then it rained again. During that time, someone asked Eirini where she was playing and the he told her good luck and I hope you win. After play finally resumed, Court 4 was the last court to be dried so it took forever for them to finally start again. When the players were coming on court, I wished Eirini good luck in Greek and she thanked me and Ula seemed so surprised . Aga sat by me for the whole match and I got her autograph and some other people did too. Marta Domachowska also stopped by for a few games to cheer on Ula and she was talking to Aga the whole time. Basically Ula was clearly the better player. Eirini played like she did on Tuesday, but Ula was just too good. She was hitting winners everywhere and there was really nothing Eirini could do. Eirini had a couple of really nice volleys, but in the end Ula was too strong and the better player won. I was fine though because I didn’t expect Eirini to win anyways. But during the match, the funniest thing ever happened. NASTJA KOLAR STOPPED BY TO WATCH A FEW GAMES :sobbing:. And no, the crowd was not against Eirini this time, they were neutral (apart from Ula’s small group of Polish fans). Eirini wasn’t really cheering any UEs, just a few that were long points or game/break points. Aga and their coach kept on motivating Ula in Polish and were really supportive of her the whole match (they weren’t coaching her though :p). Ula had a few tantrums where she would smash her racquet, and scream in Polish. Some were just at akward times though. Like this one time when she missed a first serve she went crazy which I thought was pretty strange since she still had another serve :weirdo:. And a few times Ula got frustrated and took the ball and smashed it after a point, but she didn’t yell at Eirini or anything, unlike another girl she played. Eirini really wasn’t annoying at all this time so she had no reason to. Eirini also screamed in Greek a few times and some of the things she said were really funny . And there was this one really weird changeover when Ula was at the other side of the court and instead of walking by the chair like most people do, she went around the opposite side of the net and basically walked around the whole court to get to her chair :spit:. And she barely even sat down though. She would always get out of her chair and back onto the court before the umpire would call time. Maybe she just wanted to finish and get off the court ASAP? After the match Ula rushed to net and shook hands with Eirini and then the umpire and then just zipped up her bag and walked off court like she was in a hurry or something and by that time Aga was nowhere to be seen either. And I wanted to give Eirini a standing ovation while she was walking off the court, but I had absolutely no clue where she went and I assumed she left but then I saw her coach looking for her and then I walked away and then I turned around and saw Eirini but she was too far away by then. Overall I was still just happy that Eirini beat Kolar and is now back in the top 200 and her injury doesn’t seem so bad after all. And everyone needs to watch out for Ula in the MD :armed:. *I wrote this before I knew her R1 opponent.

Chan vs. Jurikova:
I never spend too much time on Grandstand so this time I decided to watch this match since nothing else that I found interesting was going on and I wanted to sit on a court with real chairs so I can sit back, and none of the outer courts have that. The match was much closer than the score and I really felt bad for Lenka because she was really good and deserved more than one game though. Chan is a big girl and she barely made any UEs. Lenka tried everything and Chan was just amazing. She got to every ball. Lenka tried to move her around court but Chan just got to every ball and hit it even harder and even on drop shots Chan was there every time and she was really hitting the ball well. There was just absolutely nothing Lenka could do, and I felt bad for her because she was hitting almost as well as Chan. Both players had a lot of support from the crowd. Chan had a lot of Chinese and Taiwanese people cheering for her and Lenka only had a few people and they were the ones in her box, but they were cheering really loud for her. And some people really need to learn that you can’t stand during play. So many times the umpire would say “Ladies and Gentleman please take your seats, the players are waiting”, and the people standing were so oblivious. This happened so many times :help:. I think I can see Chan getting into at least the top 50 if she keeps playing like this, and I think Jurikova can get to the top 100. There were many great rallies in this match, and like I said, it was much closer than the score. Oh, and it was really annoying that they didn’t have a scoreboard for this match so you had to memorize the score the whole time :help:

Random Notes:
-I saw Razzano walking around with her coach and she was smiling the whole time which is good to see given what she’s been through over the past few months.
-Krunic was walking around by herself ALL DAY. I saw her so many times and she was always alone. I saw her the day before too, and she was alone.
-Buyukakcay was watching a lot of matches and walking around and she seemed very nice.
-They showed some of the draw ceremony on the big screen, but they kept cutting it off to say that play was suspended. No shit play was suspended, it was raining the whole time :spit:
-Berankis was with his dad outside by his court during the rain delay for hours and he looked really nice and he was talking to some lady with credentials and a baby carriage for a while.
-Cadantu was watching some of Berankis-Meffert.
-Kanepi lost a lot of weight
-Feuerstein has a really interesting game as she is a lefty who plays with a one-handed backhand. Lefties are rare and one-handed backhands are extremely rare, but a lefty with a one-handed backhand? We never see this these days on the WTA tour
-Bozoljac was really funny. He was arguing with the umpire for a little and he was just so funny and some of the things he was saying were :rolls:
-MLDB vs. Floris was the loudest match in the history of tennis . Take back what I said about MLDB not being as loud as she used to be, because in this match she was still loud. I think it’s strange that she wasn’t that loud in QR1 though . Floris is just as loud as MLDB.
-I found it really funny that Farah-Begemann was delayed by rain because I remember that last year I was watching Georgatou-Gibbs and the lights went out on their court so I watched Farah-Begemann on the next court and then it got suspended due to rain, so the last two rain delays I was at had Farah and Begemann playing against each other :p
-Oprandi is very funky and different and unique. We all already knew that anyways though...
-Pegula is a big girl. I thought she would be tall and thin, but she wasn’t really thin at all...
-I walked by Bubka-Bemelmans to see if Vika was there, but she wasn’t
-IMO Minella is overrated in the looks department
-Madison Keys was walking around by herself.
-Eva Asderaki was watching Soler-Espinosa vs. Kostova for a little and she just walked by Eirini vs. Ula for a little during the first rain delay and she was standing right across from the chair umpire and she was similing at him and called him over and he got looked so excited to see her and he ran to her and she told him something
-Eva seemed really friendly and she was talking to so many different people and all of the linespeople knew her.
-Nicole Gibbs was walking around all day with this random girl I don't know, but she was wearing an Oklahoma State sweatshirt. Maybe Robin Anderson?
-When it was pouring rain and there were puddles all over the courts, Andrea Petkovic was still practicing. Kaia Kanepi left, but Petko was still there and her she just kept on hitting serves, even though she, the courts, and the balls were all soaking wet :speakles:
-All the Japanese players get a TON of support, last year it was Nishikori and this year was Fujiwara and Nara.

Sorry about all that Kolar-Georgatou drama, and no I wasn't trying to give this thread GM attention

And some of the people who said that were really annoying, because they post their whole threads in the GM (I don't have a problem with that), but they wouldn't allow me to do that :spit:

And I wasn't trying to promote Greece with Georgatou and Asderaki :spit:. Everyone already knows and loves Eva so that didn't matter, and Boreas is just a huge troll that stalks me and always says I'm trying to promote or defend Greece in all my posts :help:

MD DAY ONE REPORT:

I went for the night session and I had a little problem which made me not get there until about 6:20 PM :sobbing:. I like to get there early so I get to see some of the day session matches, but on my way there some idiot blew a stop sign right into the side of my car. And then she told me she was going to call the police so I was waiting for about 5 minutes and I asked her when the police said they were coming and she said "Oh, I forgot to call the police I'll call them now" :weirdo:. Stupid bitch, what did you think I was waiting for? :help:

Anyways she admitted it was all her fault and she's paying for everything and I got to go to the USO :p

-As soon as I got there, I could hear all of the loud Dudi Sela supporters :p. Israeli players always get a lot of support at the USO :p
-I walked by the Radwanska match and Begu also walked by :p. I watched a little and it just looked like Ula was spraying UE's everywhere. The worst was that I was going to sit and I didn't want to go to the big stand because then you can't leave until the changeover, so I was by the small one and this one guy was blocking the seat with his towel :weirdo:
-I went to the practice courts and saw Lisicki and Venus (not together), but I could barely see since they were so far away and it was too crowded
-I watched the first 3 games of Oudin-Oprandi. I can't believe how bad Oudin is these days. I left after the third game because she was just so bad :tape:. There was this one really great point where Oprandi hit a drop shot, Mel got it back and then Oprandi lobbed it over Mel and Mel ran back and returned it and then Oprandi volleyed it and then Oudin hit this huge forehand passing shot :worship:. Then it felt like we were back in 2009, but it was only for a short period of time . Mel went back to sucking. She had a lot of support though and her mom and her younger sister (the one who can't spell) were there, and I also saw Alexa Glatch supporting her, but Mel was just too bad. Playing at a 10K, maybe 25K level...
-You don't need a ticket for Court 8 because you can see through the fence and people were watching Zakopalova-Falconi there
-I couldn't see any of Makarova-Kirilenko because the smaller stand was packed and so many people were standing and it was impossible to get a view of that match. Kirilenko had many many fans and after it was over there was a huge stampede of people trying to get to Kiri, even worse than last year. I almost got trampled. And there was a small group of Russian fans who moved from that match to Petrova vs. Chan on the next court.
-This girl almost walked right into Rodionova and I was waiting for it to happen to see Rodionova's reaction, but then the girl moved out of the way like half a second before she would've hit her
-I thought Taio Cruz was going to perform on opening night, but instead they had some Violin girl named Violin Venus and this lady walking by me said to her friend "I heard Venus Williams is going to play the violin and then she's gonna play her match"
-Oracene was sitting during the national anthem :o
-This one song came on and Oracene was singing and it was so funny
-Vee is amazing :hearts:
-There were so many drunks during the Federer match and they were screaming and this one guy was jeering Federer and then Mirka rolled her eyes :rolls:
-Mirka was bopping her head when they played "Last Friday Night"

I might go on Wednesday with the main focus being Baghdatis-Isner. Marcos is my favorite player of all-time and I've never seen him before, but he lost to Isner 2 times in the last 3 weeks and I don't know if I'm mentally prepared to watch him lose :sobbing:. Also I'm not sure if I can take off from work since I don't have any classes that day and I already took off most of last week for qualies :p

@Ronald.: I only saw a few points, but it looked pretty competitive. Chan was playing well, she was right there with Petrova :worship:. I think Chan should play some small WTA tournaments and big challengers now because she can easily be top 75 by the end of the year :worship:

@Jon.: No, sorry :hug:

@Ayumilover.: Sorry, I didn't go today. I couldn't get off work :(. I'm going to go for the second week though. I'm not sure when exactly but I'll go 1-2 times next week ;)
