Just Tokyo and Beijing? (and istanbul hopefully :oh:)As said here, last question : http://www.leprogres.fr/sports/2011/08/05/le-projet-se-peaufine-1, that's A plan. But Schedule is never closed as she said.

Well, unless she starts playing relatively well again, shes fucked for Istanbul I think. Schiavone, Stosur, Serena and Petkovic all fighting too for the final 2 spots, all within 300 odd points. Unless she gets semis again at Beijing or something, it doesnt look good..

Ok well that was just awful. Ground game is a mess and that's 45 double faults in her last 4 matches.

And I think she's getting lazy with herself again. I don't go to these coffee places but I've read about how unhealthy they are. This is an apple crumble latte http://www.flickr.com/photos/makipapa/6106817770/. Marionated
Sep 29th, 2011, 06:48 PM
Whilst I am in agreeance that a QF was unexpected, I don't think she played well in the slighest.

In fact I'd say it's one of her worst matches ever. I've only seen her play worse once in recent years.

And again she loses another match in an embarrasingly lop sided h2h.

I really do want her to play Istanbul but not in this form. She has two tournaments before the YEC, if she qualifies, to find some form.

Sorry if I sound so negative btw...

Well the YEC campaign is pretty much over. She probably won't even get in as an ALT. Horrible considering she looked a lock after Stanford.

She had Petkovic on the ropes in their match but again her serve let her down. REALLY hope Andy gets in over Radwanska.

Maybe she can win Osaka and at least play Bali.

Iceland
Oct 8th, 2011, 09:17 AM
Yep, that's pretty much my feelings as well. It would be cool if she played Bali.
The final is going to be Aga-Andy, it couldn't have been worse for her. I'm personally rooting for Aga. :)
Oh well, that's fair. I mean both ladies are currently playing better tennis than her. I'm just a little bit sad that her unfortunate US tour deprives her from playing YEC again. With all the achievements she has reached this year, you would say that she deserves to be there. Blame Sam and her US Open title that came really out of nowhere.
I think she will still finish as a top ten player with Fran & Kim dropping big points.

Ferg
Oct 8th, 2011, 11:08 AM
Crushed. Even with her crappy summer I thought we had Istanbul to look forward to. Dont care whatsoever about Osaka and Moscow, and finding it very hard to care about next year too. Even if Maria pulls out of YEC, Marion wont get in. Also she wont get a career high rank as she could have, with the two girls passing her, and even with Fran and Kim dropping points after the YEC it'll only be good enough for #10. Awful day to be a fan. Just hope Andrea wins tomorrow, at least she played consistently well all year rather than lucking out 2 big titles at the end of the yar when everyone else was playing like crap.

Marionated
Oct 8th, 2011, 02:20 PM

Marion is now sure to go to Bali as 1st seed and Istanbul as 1st alternate because of Andrea withdrawal in Luxembourg.
9th position (for the moment but her draw in Moscow is really tough) still represents the best y.e. ranking of her career after her best season, she can be proud of her and if Aga s not winning in Moscow, Marion could regret a few disappointing loss that cost her the points she needed for the 8th place (Dolonts at the AO, McHale at the USO,+ Voskoboeva and Cetkovska during the american summer).

radwanska absent is one less player she has to worry about.(no offense to marion but she obviously has an easier time with her then aga). She's already got sam, caroline and maria there who she struggles against ..and petra looks to be back in form and i doubt vera will be the first one to stop her on indoor hard.

It was a little awkward in the match to see how much Marion was trying and then Vika just did not give a shit! Every time she one a game she was depressed. Then on her service game she'd start actually playing and it would be 40-0 :/ so strange but great for Marion! Beating one of her tough opponents right before Bali :D

If Vika wanted to go at the hotel as soon as possible, she just had to win in straight sets, after leading 7-5 2-0. 2nd set statistics are really good for both players. And Marion levelled up her quality of game.
