With 2010 poins off there is just 1100 points between Vera and Maria before the 1st round of Cincy:
Shamelessly stolen form TBE's rankings thread!

1. Caro 9335
2. Vera 6550
3. Kim 6501
4. Vika 6115
5. Petra 5561
6. Na Li 5547
7. Masha 5447

Vera has a good chance to keep it after Cincy, but then she's got a truckload of points to defend at the USO!

So?

Actually, this is not the race, in the race top 3 is Caro, Petra and Masha.
Vera has much to defend - she does.

yes its a race, but not "Race to YEC" :silly:

considering Kim and Vera ha much to defend, all four behind them has chance to go up.
I wouldnt be surprised if Vika will be #2 after Cincy.

Vera has a good chance at the 2 seed in NY, coming off a final last year.
The USO is a good time for announcers to explain the difference between the 12 month rankings and the race this year

Vika can take the No. 2 after Cincy, but she's a bit ''weak' when playing many matches and ret. or get injured...

But more exciting are the Race for No. 1 after US Open... ;)

Na Li vs Serena or Sam in Cincy so not much hope...

Actually I don't know anything/is she has the hope to challenge #2...
I think she can beat Sam this time/Serena probably withdraw...

Vika, Na and Masha don't defend much at US Open, so can one win Cincy and do well (reach F) in US Open, they may get onto No. 2 or even No. 1...

Does this even matter? You-know-who will kick their ass anyway.

Does this even matter? You-know-who will kick their ass anyway.3 of those players are holding majors, & 1 is going for a USO 3peat.
Of course it matters.
