When it comes to seeding, right now there are two question marks:

Will Maria Sharapova play (Yes according to and entry list povided by USTA; no according to The Boiled Egg (http://www.tennisforum.com/showpost.php?p=19890466&postcount=24) & WTA (http://www.wtatennis.com/SEWTATour-Archive/Archive/Notes&Netcords/2011/aug1.pdf))? If not, Shuai Peng will be # 16 seed.
Will Ana Ivanović moving up further? If she sidlines Vera Zvonareva at 721K Carlsbad today, she will be at least # 13. With one or two mor wins Ana is also able to bypass Agnieszka Radwańska: Either Agi loses against Andrea Petković or Ana goes for the championship.

If Maria Sharapova will be included in the MD, seeding will be as mentioned in opener. If not, starting with Na Li, every player moves one spot up and Shuai Peng will be # 16 seed.
