:angel:Hope she can back it up with her behaviour on-court & off court.

Serena has made similar references during GS trophy speeches but only to contradict that with her well documented on-court ' F' word swearing which unravels her similar standing.:o

My favourite is that she claims she can't vote in elections because of her religion, yet is fine with drinking and celebrating birthdays :spit:

I have no problem with people expressing their faith and fully support her right to do so.

It's when other people expect me to express their faith that I get a trifle irritated. This appears to fall in the former category. I know Lisicki has also talked about being a devout Catholic, and I support her even though (at least on my end) I would have to agree to disagree with her on theology.

You know, on the flip side I have atheist friends who say damn it, which would beg the question of who is damning, and how.

But I digress as usual.

Expressing your faith might be OK, but making a cross after a match or saying that dog helps you is not that OK, imo. The other player might think that dog hates her and it could affect her next performances  I wonder if there are any atheist players out there.

Yeah it is total Bull Sh*t that Serena over and over thinks Jehovah and try's to make her self seem like a good Jehovah's Witness but when it fact she b*tch and f*ck to people and drink and calibrates non religious holidays and birthdays. Such a hypocrite.

I am all for people believing what they want but don't half ass and try to tell the world that you are better. It is like Baptiste who say that a law should be made to where alcohol can be sold in there town but then they are the first person to drive out to the city and by beer or people who go on and on how homosexuality is a sin because the bible say's so but not give a darn that the same bible say it is okay to stone a child for talking back to its parents.

I still love Aga despite this. Most athletes are members of one cult or another so it's not surprising. A lot of players on tour wear crosses or look to the heavens and thank their angry sky god.
