Thanks for that Jiro
Nice to see Tammy playing in the Goldcoast tourney - she has no points to defend there, so it could be a big advantage to her
Good luck Tammy ..... hope you enjoy your chirstmas break as well

I'm still not sure if she will play Gold Coast or New Zealand from Dec-31 - Jan-6 or not. She and her coach said at Pattaya that probably she will play exhibition match in Hong Kong end of this year.

I totally agree with you that Tammy should focus on her ranking. She can gain some benefit of point since she has no point to defend if she play Gold Coast or Nea Zealand.

Hope Tammy can hear from us.

I was just checking the average number of tourneys per year for players in the top 50. It is around 24 / year. This includes the Williamses who are at 12 and 10.
There are very few players at 29-30 tourneys per year. It could prove to be a bit heavy.
I think that 25 - 27 tourneys per year is a good figure.

i cant see her playing linz and bratislava! just not tammy to play there at that time of the year.. plus the fact that she doesnt seem to touch the indoor stuff!

i also dont see tammy playing 29 in the year! she would more likely schedule for around 24!

Tammy used to gaive some interview that she love to play indoor court.

Jiro, do you think Tammy will play the Asian Games next year?

It's the same week as Japan Open and the week after, so I wouldn't be surprised Tammy choose to play in Europe as an "excuse" to skip the Asian Games.

If Tammy plays the Exibition in Hong Kong from Jan 2-5, she may miss the Qualies in the Adidas cos they start on the 4th I think. I hope she gets a wildcard, or doesn't have to qualify cos she needs some points.

Danker : Lawn Tennis Association Thailand(LTAT) has announced recently that Tammy and Paradorn will play Asian Games. Danker, Do you know when Asian Games start. I have no idea about her planning schedule but I just heard from Mr. Panomkorn, her coach. He said Tammy always make planning schedule by herself. I asked her at Pattaya, she said she didn't make schedule yet. Unfortunately, I didn't meet her on Monday in $50K King's and Queen's Cup.

Wally : Mr. Panomkorn always will be with Tammy in Grand Slam. Hope you can catch him and have a chat with him. Tell him you know me, Jiro from Thailand. BTW, Do you know him. If you don't know, please see his photo below :

Benny : Tammy has committed to play and her name is already appeared in the tournament website. For my understanding, qualify match of Adidas International will start on Saturday, Jan 5,2002. She may ask the tournament organizer to give her one day off in case that she reach single final or double final. But I don't think she will reach the final.

I've got this from Thai's newspaper. Newspaper said Tammy play 25 tournaments but there are only 23 in detail. Her coach (Mr. Panomkorn) used to tell me that next year Tammy may skip some tournament in Asian and play some in door tournament in Europe instead. Tammy used to gaive some interview that she love to play indoor court.

Surprising me that she has to play Asian Games during Sep 29 - Oct 14 but her plan still appear to play in Moscow(Indoor), Sep 30 - Oct 7.

But the number of tourneys she'll play could shrink. Indonesian tourneys are unpredictable (can be cancelled at any time )

Tammy has schedule to play 26 tornaments this year and nice to know she play 5 indoor tournaments in Europe instead of tornament in Asia. She play 3 clay tournament, at Italy, Spain and French Open.

Surprising me that she has committed to play Asian Games during Sep 29 - Oct 14 but her plan still appear to play in Moscow(Indoor), Sep 30 - Oct 7 and Porsche Tennis Grand Prix(Indoor) Germany, Oct 07 - Oct 14 . She may skip 2 indoor tournament in Moscow and Germany if she has to play Asian Games.

Jiro - i have a photo editor on my computer that allows me to reduce the size of ... and cut down pics to how i want them .... so i can get just about any pic and reduce it.

Try going here - http://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en
Type in Tamarine Tanasugarn and you will get a few pics.... then find one that has a lower amount of pixels as it says underneath! ;) .... there aren't to many Tammy pics though.... so its usually easier if you have a program that can reduce the pic.

but i don't know... she doesn't seem to be certain about her plan either. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Jiro, I don't think Tammy will play Scottsdale. It's the week straight after Dubai and it's a long way to travel from there. She didn't play there last year due to this reason.

BTW, the tournament in which Tammy had to withdraw from last year was "Stanford" not "Scottsdale" due to her food poisoning. ;)

Fed Cup in China is the same week as Indian Wells. Do you think Tammy will play Fed Cup this year?
