Hey!

For some reason the scrollbar on the right side of the screen has been gone for the last 2 days. The scrollbar is missing ONLY when I visit this site. I've been searching for the solution but didn't find anything helpful. Anyone knows what to do?

Thanks:p

I had the same problem in Internet Explorer, so I'm using Firefox at the moment, and that seems to be working fine.

I would badrep you for this brilliant response if it wasn't for my IE not allowing me.

It's fine now, thanks to the tech staff or whoever fixed that up.:D

This loss of the scroll bar does need sorting quickly because it is now a major problem to use this site when using IE (It doesn't happen on MTF). Please don't ask me to use another browser because I am restricted to using IE at my works PC.

I use Safari, fine for me.
Are you sure it's a new window? A lot of times I go from a live stream to TF and that's why theres no bar.

LOL love how no admins/tech support people have had a word to say. I just have to keep refreshing until I get the scrollbar. Can't do that at work though as I have to sneak around to be on here in the first place. :oh:

I only have IE at work. :(

However if you click and hold the scroll, before it disappears you're still able to scroll up and down. Although of course once you let go, it's done.

Yes it seems that the admins/tech support people don't bother reading this section of the forum - at least one post to say that they are looking into it would be nice.

This does need sorting quickly because the site is becoming unusable if you are forced to use IE as your browser.

Because the problem is intermittent. It is now working OK for me using IE but at other times the scroll bar just disappears for no reason.

I feel like an idiot for staying with IE so long. I just switched to Firefox. Much better in many ways. (But I understand a lot of you are stuck with IE at work...)

Yeah the problem comes and goes. You can be browsing perfectly fine then then all of a sudden the scroll bar dissapears.

Frustrating to say the least.

When the scroll bar disappears, you can't scroll with the mouse wheel?

nope. No arrows, no wheel or scroll.

Nothing moves unless you strart dragging the whole screen. Which is extreamly annoying :p

So are you guys going to fix this at all? Or explain why it's happening? Or atleast acknowledge this thread and let us know that you're looking into it?

I guess it doesn't matter if people can't use the site properly though, it's not like we're about to have the final matches of the most important tournament of the year or anything.

I agree with dsanders06
I think the moderators are working on it though, but I just want one to come in here and tell us that they are :o

I can't even do anything on this site now :o. I've been on for the past 6 hours (!!!!) and I can't even visit all the threads I want to because the scrollbar is missing. I couldn't send points for a game (WhoWhatWhere?) over the past few days, because whenever I've tried to send, I couldn't sign on because the scrollbar was missing. Sometimes I have to hold the scrollbar before it goes away, but sometimes the scrollbar doesn't even show up :o. Then, as many suggested, I downloaded firefox and I got a virus

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE look into this. Now I have to buy a new laptop because I can't use my own :o

The issue has been brought to the attention of the webmaster. It is up to the technical team to see if they can find a solution.

Use Chrome or Firefox. Installed in minutes, problem solved.

 yeah right.

Why don't you jump off a bridge. Firefox is disgusting, have used it and it's a complete mess. Half of the websites are out of center and graphics fucked up. I'm not interested in using Firefox for this site only. Not really a solution. Besides, some people did note that Chrome is not bulletproof either. Some using Chrome are also suffering for the scroll bad defect.

Nothing besides IE is unacceptable. Most websites I use are out of center when using As said previously also. When people are AT WORK, you're limited to IE only.

Mike_T

Why don't you jump off a bridge.

May not be a solution for SOME at work, and terminal whingers, but it is a solution for most. FF and Chrome are every bit as good, if not better, than IE - incase anyone’s put off by your whinging.

This used to only happen occasionally, but now I can't do anything. It was a challenge just to get in here. The scrollbar disappears every time I do anything. And my phone, which has Safari, is having extreme difficulty loading the page. So I can't really do anything on TF now. And both devices (computer and phone) only have problems with this site.

Le Tenisse
Jun 30th, 2011, 01:27 AM
Some new things are starting to happen besides the scroolbar missing:
-It doesnīt allow you to create the round mini-scroolbar when you press the mouseīs wheel.
-Now started to letīs say "eating" parts of the message, so when a message has like 25 lines (like results) and signatures, you only can see like eighteen or so.
-Again, like some time ago, the red messages of warnings that the site is not safe. Along with
recurring database errors in the last fourteen hours.
-And the last is being redirected to other sites when you click in threads like this one.

Has anyone else had the same errors when enter the site?

I have never had any problems with this site (other than the database errors). I have used Chrome, Chromium and Firefox. To those who use IE: I think it would be handy if you guys said which version number you are using. IE is notoriously bad when it comes to following web standards, but especially the older versions. You should try and keep your browser up to date (if possible).
