Cos they expect rain later in day
it was only changed today from 1pm
Dunno how many ppl will be able to come that early on a Sun morning plus transport on Sun is hopeless.

I for one wouldn't have made it or tried to come.

I don't think 10am will be good anyway cos whole day looks bad as soon as rain arrives.

Not at all. The new rankings will come up when Birmingham final will be finished.
Anyway, I have the feeling that the match will be played tomorrow morning.

Sabine makes the final here and still has to play qualifiers to get into Wimbledon? That kind of stinks. Assuming that her ranking doesn't somehow plummet will she have to play qualifiers to get into the US Open? I'm guessing that her results here should be enough to get her ranking up a few spots and give her a spot in the main draw.

No, she's in the main draw of the US Open.

The entry list for Wimbledon was drawn up before Roland Garros, when she was ranked at #121, with the lowest MD entry being #113. She's #100 at the moment, and the points from this week should see her safely into the US Open main draw.

I think when looking at the rain radar there is still chance that the rain stops in late afternoon, no ? it's only 11:30 in the UK.

"The AEGON Classic singles final at The Edgbaston Priory Club has been delayed due to heavy and prolonged rain on Sunday in Birmingham.
The final is between fourth seed Daniela Hantuchova and the unseeded German Sabine Lisicki. The singles final was scheduled for 10am. Gates opened at 9am.
The doubles final will be played indoors at 11.45am but there will be no spectator access due to health and safety reasons.
The singles final is still to be confirmed but there is still a possibility it will be played on Centre Court later in the day on Sunday."
