Klara Zakopalova will have 1505 points after RG, not 1425

Please bear in mind that this thread targets "Race to Wimbledon seeding". For that purpose only results from Eastbourne/s’-Hertogenbosch 2010 until Birmingham/Copenhagen 2011 are relevant and - as outlined in opener - are covered. Klára Zakopalová won 100K+ Tournament in Marseille 2010 and earned 150 points, but this is not within observation period.

However, I double checked her points & here is the breakdown:

GS PM Choice Σ 16th
Klára Zakopalová 390(4) 95(4) 940(8) 1,425 70

As Klára is on the entry list of 220K Copenhagen, a spot in the final should secure her a seeding on her own. But as Roland Garros is at early stage, it depends also on competitors results there.

As there is only one week ahead, seeding for Wimbledon 2011 there are only a few questions we don’t have the answer yet:

Who will pull out?
If Serena and/or Venus will play, does the committee seed according to WTA-rankings?
Will Kaia Kanepi secure a SF spot in Birmingham? If so, she will grab 16th spot from Julia Goerges (1 to 15 spots are safe).
Which results will we see from these contenders in Birmingham or Copenhagen?

Thanks Tennis Observer :bigwave:

I think Venus and Serena will both be seeded in the top 16 ... well at least Serena will so even if Kanepi does well in Birmingham, she won't be top 16

As it’s getting closer & closer (Committee will announce seeding on Thursday, June 16) almost every question is already answered. What we still don’t know, is this:

Are there additional pull-outs?
Will the Committee adjust WTA Rankings as of 6/13/11 in order to get a balanced draw?

In the meantime, have a look at R3 composition according to live seeding as of 6/13/11:

[1]-[8] versus [25]-[32] [9]-[16] versus [17]-[24]
Caroline Wozniacki Serena Williams Marion Bartoli Kaia Kanepi
Kim Clijsters Maria Kirilenko Samantha Stosur Ana Ivanović
Vera Zvonereva Jarmila Gajdošová Andrea Petković Yanina Wickmayer
Li Na Ekatarina Makarova Svetlana Kuznetsova Shuai Peng
Victoria Azarenka Roberta Vinci Agnieszka Radwańska Flavia Pennetta
Maria Sharapova Bethanie Mattek-Sands Anastaia Pavlyuchenkova Shahar Pe'er
Francesca Schiavone Lucie Šafářová Jelena Janković Dominika Cibulková
Petra Kvitová Venus Williams Julia Goerges Daniela Hantuchová

I know still way too early, but here is an outlook to R4:

[1]-[4] versus [13]-[16] [5]-[8] versus [9]-[12]
Caroline Wozniacki Agnieszka Radwańska Victoria Azarenka Marion Bartoli
Kim Clijsters Anastaia Pavlyuchenkova Maria Sharapova Samantha Stosur
Vera Zvonereva Jelena Janković Francesca Schiavone Andrea Petković
Li Na Julia Goerges Petra Kvitová Svetlana Kuznetsova

I updated the list for QD-seeding in post # 7 ( http://www.tennisforum.com/showpost.php?p=19693949&postcount=7).

Its rare now that none TOP 32 Seeds, get into the TOP 32. It mainly can happen for a former No. 1' or a former Wimby Champ.

But as I posted the 2011 Seeds List is known now.
