PLEASE HELP!!!
:sad::sad::sad:

I can't log in my mac as the administrator.
I CHANGED the password...
but instead of putting something as the new password I left it BLANK...
and then they said keychain LOGIN password would be used.
:mad::mad::mad:

I thought that by leaving it BLANK, that I wouldnt need to enter anymore passwords.
Now...WTF is a KEYCHAIN LOGIN PASSWORD?????
:fiery::fiery::fiery:

And I gotta have it fix within 16hours cause someone will come to my house and install something which requires an ADMINISTRATOR PASSWORD.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!
:sad::sad::sad:

Not a mac person, but try your old password.

I think that's happened to me before. It was over a year ago though so I don't remember what I did. Can you access your Mac normally (not as Administrator)? I'm pretty sure you can delete/reset the passwords.

If that does not work I definitely advise you to contact the Mac people by phone, they will help solve your problem in second. Or at least Google or look for help elsewhere not named "TennisForum".

Good luck man!

Depending on how your system is set up and how you change your admin password, keychain either retains the value of your old password or gets set to the new password. Since you left your new admin password empty, keychain login retained the value of your old password. That's why you were able to log in with your old password.

Since you changed your admin password again, I'm not sure what the keychain password is now. You left your admin password empty last time, and keychain password can't be left empty, as far as I know, so it probably didn't retain that value. You can try just hitting enter without entering the password, but I doubt that works.

You should find more and better help in Apple support forums and customer service. Or you can try following the instructions that Teerin posted about resetting your admin password using Mac OS disc. You will also have to remove your keychain login value, and next time you restart, new one will be created. Perhaps contacting Apple support first is the best way to go.

I wasn't provided with a StartUp disc.

I will try contacting Apple. The guess account deletes everything I saved when I shut the computer down.
