Correction Both played very well. But Vika was just too solid.
Lucie got mentally exhausted. Vika wasnt making errors,so she had to play her best.

Azarenka lost to Goerges in Stuttgart.

 If you consider it a "win" to be down a set and handed the match on a retirement, sure.

Julia got quite lucky that Vika "hurt her shoulder."

true, but it still counts as a loss for Azarenka.

Lucka started really well, her first five games were terrific, then she started to make some mistakes and Azrenka started to play much better. Anyway, good tournament and effort from her.

By the way, this match proves to me that Azarenka is quite vulnerable to power hitters who hit the ball hard and deep. It´s a pity that Lucka was able to play just a few games in such a manner. I wouldn´tbe surprised if Görges beats Azarenka, since Julia has better serve than Lucie and more powerful strokes (in particular her forehand is even more deadly than Lucie´s one).

Many thanks to Vika( and Julia) who have saved us from Pav-Safarova semis :wavey:

I mean seriously...... I would have to order lots of pints, halves etc. to watch those players with poverty sounding surnames like Safarova, Gajdasova and so on

Great week by Lucie and good match considering she was facing Azarenka who didn't lost a set all week long. Good quality match;just a shame that Lucie's 1st serve % dropped in the 3rd and that she started returning badly again.

Yeah, right. And what about Sharapova? Is it a "poverty sounding surname", too?

Yeah, right. And what about Sharapova? Is it a "poverty sounding surname", too?

I wouldn't go that far, I rather meant Cibulkova, Benesova i can count much further but from Russia we've got Kulikova:tape:

Sharapova sucks, it's obvious. Her achievements are remarkable, but it's still not her since her shoulder injury. That's with I can honestly say she's playing like a person who lacks basic needs....not just food, but mainly brain

Well, in that case you should have said "players who are not that well known" or something like that instead of "bullshit" like players with "poverty sounding names". After all, Russian nation (and I mean the common people, not corrupted politicians and "oligarchs") are certainly far more poor than Czechs or Slovaks, as you propbably very well know.

Fine she lost last week, but she has been "beaten" in a while...
