Good win for Victoria.

And in QF she will play against Jarmila Gajdosova or Lucie Safarova.

Thank you Vika :hearts:

Little blip where she was broken and allowed a hold. Lost only 5 games in 3 matches :worship:

Next match will be much tougher.

well done Vika ;) :yeah: :D

Parra's coach coming on at 0-6 0-3 down & getting her to laugh got her some games.

Jeez she looked really intense through most of the match. Was annoyed with herself clearly towards the end but she kept her reaction low-key. Nice match to watch

What was that "argh" face in the end?

A.) Argh I didn´t play well these last six games

B.) Argh pretends the shoulder hurts again, laying the groundwork for another 6-2 RET. in the next round :tape::tape:

First match longer than an hour in this tourny. She's slipping! :)

But goddamn that sound she makes is annoying.

Well done Vika. The crowd hated her, but she demolished Aran and those childish Spanish people.

Well done Vika. The crowd hated her, but she demolished Aran and those childish Spanish people.

She makes the most annoying sounds in profesisonal tennis, she was playing against a Spaniard and most importantly she was cheering Messis goal inside Bernabeu last week while celebating Barcelonas qualifiqation via twitter.it's totally expected that she'll have the crowd against her

She is the best player at the moment.
I can't see anyone who will beat her in Madrid.

I think it would be the best for her not to play Rome and focus on the French Open.
She will have her chances to win her first grand slam.

but she has to stay injury-free...

Impressive performance from her minus the blip at the end. The way she was walking between points showed how much intent she had and how she just wanted to get the job done. :yeah:

Vika played amazing....:inlove: In second she lost her concentration a bit.

Expected beatdown. APS is the sort of slowpoke big server that even a subpar Toria would eat for breakfast.

APS didn't even play that bad in that first set. She was just up against someone who rallies about ten times better than she does. Toria has perfected her turbo grinding to an extent that she may now be less vulnerable to being outhit as, rather than just feeding her opponents with rhythm by hitting the same 3/4 pace shots all the time, she manages to constantly redirect the ball and keep it away from her opponents. Against players who don't give her pace to work with she should be fine as she'll outhit them from the baseline most of the time anyway.

It's clear that Toria is still going to have to work hard to hold serve against any even halfway decent returner.

But Toria the leading favourite, or even a contender, for RG?

Not even a contender? You have a problem if you cannot see that

Toria has always been excellent at whomping scrubs. All these blowout wins she's been getting on clay so far are meaningless.

You are useing this word for quite a lot of matches and tournaments recently. Do you not realize how ridiculous that sounds?
