First round = Morita = easy win -> what else there is to say?
Most journalists are wacko, look at that stupid cow who asked Nadal "what are you going to do tomorrow (tonight) to watch Barça-Madrid?" He answered, turn the TV on and watch it

I didn't even watch the match and I'm supposed to be Wozzy's biggest fan on this forum. First round (or was it second?) against some nobody, who gives a shit.

Can't really fault journalists for not giving a shit either.

What was the scoreline anyway?

This is ignorant & rude, to both the world No. 1 and the Polish immigrants you are referring to. Some Sharapova fans are without an ounce of class and respect for others.

how is this ignorant if it's true? Seems to me like some people on this forum are just looking for any cause to be offended frankly. And I've been an immigrant hard labouring worker myself in the past, so I know what I'm talking about here...

Seems like the freshness of the start has lost all it's sparkles now she's old and just one of these slamless tournament whores in which people have no interest anymore...

I wished I payed less interest towards her too but it's quite impossible not only they do not give you a break with her e.g. adverts... but they force you to watch her matches by airing them on Live TV... A shame.

A report from 2011 australian open:

Press: Woz is facetious and vapid

Thursday, 20 January 2011 15:47 DV Sport

International journalists unimpressed by Wozniacki’s off-the-court performance

Despite her status as top seed, Caroline Wozniacki’s press conferences have been among the least visited at this year’s Australian Open, reports Ekstra Bladet newspaper.

International journalists are getting fed up with the world number one’s press statements.

“Talking to her is boring,” said Matt Cronin, editor of Inside Tennis magazine. “It’s not that she’s not a smart girl, but she just doesn’t give enough. I don’t understand why she’s always on guard. It sounds as if she’s attended a course on how to answer media questions.”

Stephanie Myles is one of the journalists who is rarely to be seen at Wozniacki press conferences.

“It’s because she’s boring and vapid. I have great respect for her achievements and I would attend her press meetings if I believed she could provide some interesting answers to my questions,” said Myles. “But no matter what I ask, it just doesn’t happen. She’s like Teflon.”

Myles believes that Wozniacki has learned to say the right things without saying anything.

“That way she avoids getting into trouble, but in the long run it makes her boring,” said Myles.

Cronin agreed: “It will damage her international image if her fans can’t find anything interesting to read about her. Would they then continue to attend her matches? It’s not as if her playing style is particularly sensational.”

Wozniacki was not moved by the criticism. “Well, maybe they could try to think of some new questions. I get the same questions time and time again, so it’s not easy to come up with new answers every time,” she said, without specifying which type of questions she was referring to.

I dont see a big deal about it. Why would there be 100 media people for a routine round 1 win?

i'm a sports fan and can say that 90% of press conferences in sports i watch are boring. Most coaches or players in team sports basically just recap the match that just finished. But that's the first time i read a journalist doesn't go to press conferences cause she finds the player boring and i find it a rather unprofessional stance, that's your freakin job you moron...

When journalists do not care enough about the exploits of the current #1 to even field a few questions at many of her press conferences...... :help: Bad for women's tennis. Hopefully some of the more entertaining ladies with a bit of personality and larger fan bases will step up in the second half of this year.

Who cares? It's not her job to be an entertainer and I certainly couldn't care less about what some unimportant journalists think (if I was the #1).

5 journalists are not that many, but it was a 1st round match. It's not like there were more than 20 fans on the center court today (or on any other court). :help:

Were any of the 5 journalist able to speak English? The one who asked seemed to have a bit of trouble.

Is it ok to call players "whores" as someone seems to do in this thread?

Should you ridicule polish names/people as typical hard labor immigrants?

Should the person, who posted the article about Matt Cronin and Stephanie Myles, have mentioned they both praised her after the following press conference, and Matt Cronin admitted they were a part of the problem (not asking better questions)?

Or informed us that Stephanie Myles admitted she did not have time to go the Wozniacki's after match pressers, but only wanted an exclusive interview?

Or posted the articles praising Wozniacki for the best after match presser's at AUSOpen?

So many questions, so few answers.

But then again, half a story is always better than a full story to support my arguments. I am not a lier, I am just always choosing only telling small parts of the whole truth.

Woz is a bit boring, but she's just trying to be a professional (except for that whole lying to be more interesting happening in Australia). These journalists need to be more professional themselves and ask some more stimulating questions. Anyway, I don't think there is much to say after such an early round win by the top seed. Also, plenty of times, there are very few at the post match interviews at smaller events and with boring subjects. Safina/Safin/Medvedev/etc. were/are all great interview subjects, because they really tell you how they feel. Not everyone wants to do that. And that's okay.

She's a robot. She's not fun to watch and she's got nothing interesting to say. I wouldn't attend her press conferences either. The only story left to write is whether or not she can handle the pressure of winning a slam. And that won't be determined for another month at the soonest.
