Last season the semifinalists of Rome got byes in Madrid. Does it go the same way this year?

It's a Sunday singles final so I would be surprised if that were not the case.

Last year Ivanovic was in semifinal of Rome and then BYE in 1st Round of Madrid.(She was ranked outsude of top 30 If I remember good).Yes ...Same case will be this year too I think...

Last year the SFs got a Bye because Madrid does start Saturday, but Rome this year does start first Monday...

Madrid starts on a saturday, which is why the semifinalists got byes.
She and Jelena both got byes and met in the 2r

I don't think so because Rome starts on Monday.

This year, Rome's and Madrid's positions in the calendar have been swapped.
