Serena loses her 2010 Rome SF points and Venus loses her 2010 Rome QF points ... they will be ranked at the highest #16 and #17

so not only no Americans ranked in the top 10 but not even in the top 15 :help:
when was the last time of that

It's okay. MJF insists we have great players in the 6 month and under juniors. You know, they win everything because their opponent put the tennis balls in their mouth and then forfeit because they need a diaper change.

Baby domination. The WTA is saved :rocker2:

Not sure about top 15, but the last time no US women was in top 20 was only 4 years ago on Jan 15, 2007:

USA should buy some players like Kazakhstan does

Yeah, that's an option but, they have no cash to do so these days.

Well, Americans better start getting used to it as the days of the Williams sisters are numbered. But hey, believe in Oudin she has more to offer.

if both Williams sister are 100% healthy it doesn't matter were they are in the ranking. We all remember the rise from the ashes from Serena in Australia 2007. Serena came in unseeded ranked No. 81 and conquered the title as she crushed Sharapova in the final. I also remember Venus entering Wimbledon 2007 as No. 31 ranked and she claimed the title against Marion Bartoli.

I'm totally convinced, when Venus and Serena are healthy they are the best tennis players on the tour.
And all respect for Navratilova, Evers and Graf, but in my opinion Serena is the greatest ever.

The only problem is, behind Venus and Serena there's a no top athlete in the ranking. Mattek-Sands only gets recognized for her outfits, Oudin had a standout at the US Open 2009, but after that there wasn't a huge upside like the QF in Flushing Meadows. I don't think these two are good enough to get in the top 15 one day.

Lets see what Chrissi McHale is able to show in the future. She showed her talent in Charleston, but she is still too young, to predict her way on the tennis tour.
For me, the biggest talent in US womens tennis, is Sloane Stephens. She is very young (18) and had good results lately. She was able to qualify at Indian Wells 2010 and 2011 and was also able to win the first round both times. In my opinion she's the best prospect in US womens tennis.

So lets hope Venus and Serena come back as strong as they are and that one of these players i mentioned above, is able to break into the top 15 on day and stay there too.
