View Full Version : The Ultimate Caro Consensus Test

Obviously Caroline Wozniacki as the current No 1 player attracts an inordinate amount of attention on this forum but what is the consensus? She apparently appears to be a polarizing player so let’s set the record straight on what actually is the case here. There are four choices in this poll: (1) passionately hate; (2) moderately dislike; (3) moderately like; and (4) passionately love. To cross the “tees” and dot the “eyes” so there is no mistake as to choices the following definitions should suffice to make an intelligent vote.

(1) Passionately hate means you believe that every time Caro loses the WTA is saved- what the WTA is saved from is murky but it need not be a factor in the vote;
(2) Moderately dislike means you don’t think she is a good enough player to merit the successes she has achieved and it irks you that she has been so successful;
(3) Moderately like means she is a nice enough girl who you don’t mind seeing having achieved the success that she has done so far. If she wins a slam you might start to cheer for her unconditionally;
(4) Passionately love means you discern that she will be a great one and that is why you cheer for her. Or you just like her personality that you cheer for her against other players because they are wanting.

So far the poll disagrees with me but I suspect most people fall into the two moderate categories. The thing is that the passionate people tend to have much louder voices so it seems like there are more of them.

:lol: How predictable.

@OP: See, they are not up for intelligent vote let alone discussion when it comes to Caroline. They have chosen an irrational hate as the simplest way to hide their complexes. Poor things.:hug: Don't require much of them.

If there was a 'neutral' option I think it would be leading the poll.

No one knows her personally to vote for such options in a poll. This thread should be closed by the Moderators.

I also think there should be a 'neutral' option. I can neither vote "moderately like" nor "moderately dislike" they way they are described.

If you voted for 'passionately love', why would you start such a thread when you know Caro haters will come and bash her to pieces?

The problem with certain TF members who are passionate for Caro is that their first love seems to be trolling.

I think Woztards get off on other people bashing her to pieces. Mindlessly defending her means they finally have something to do.

My goodness I don’t dare speculate the underpinnings of your expressed sentiments. Perhaps you could be good enough to elaborate on the reasons for your umbrage?

No one knows her personally to vote for such options in a poll. This thread should be closed by the Moderators.

I am a little non-plussed by this post. It’s not like you are being asked whether you think Caro is like Mother Teresa or like Lindsay Lohan or somewhere in-between; BTW I am pretty confident that the correct answer in such case is somewhere in-between. No you are simply asked whether you like or dislike Caro without going into any reason for your choice. I would think as a member of this board the results of this poll might be of some interest to you.

If there was a 'neutral' option I think it would be leading the poll.

Maybe so but if there were such an option it begs the question that if one is truly indifferent to Caro then why venture into this thread?

… It makes me sick each time when I see useless thread about her.

I can’t quarrel with you that this might be a useless thread about Caro. I started this poll in reaction to an assertion by the OP in his/her thread titled “How does Wozniacki compare the top “villains” in tennis history". I was intrigued by the use of the word “villain:”no doubt “the most reviled” would have been more appropriate. Anyway this poster boldly stated and I quote: “It's no secret that the majority do not like her here for whatever reason. A lot of posters would love to see her get hurt, humiliated or embarrassed…” I was wondering how true is this assertion so ergo this thread to ascertain if that observastion was accurate.

Just a piece of advice here. If you are seriously a Caro fan, please stop creating threads like these because they do not offer any platform of constructive discussion, they would just attract haters, which appears to be the case with your previous thread "The case against Caro haters" and this thread so far.

Although I'm also a Caro hater and I love to go against her fans, I don't even feel like posting in this thread because it is just so redundant. However, I don't wish to see you being helpless and embroiled in quarrels with the Caro haters, which is why I'm telling you this.

You just have to face the fact that every player has their fans as well as their haters, so there really is no point in creating such threads. If Caro has more haters than any other player, she really only has her tards like you to blame. The moderators should really close this useless thread.
