Too Drama To Be True!!

[2]Marteena Huubere def. Amita Maria Young 5/7, 7/5, 7/6(7)

"I was the runner up last week, and see!! I lost the to Huubere something, I don't know.. I just can't believe it at all. There must be something suspicious!! Someone on the tour might not like me and try to do anything to get rid of me!! The judge today also did terrible job. He must be blind, over a foot out but nothing happened, especially the match point!! I smell something fishy!!"

Yeah, so, I'm posting the rest of the results this weekend.

Singles Second Round

Berenika Wojnarowska def. Clair McKrain 7/6(3), 4/6, 6/4
Clair paved the way in the top quarter but was exhausted after yesterday. Berenika on her way to another solid result.

[6]Luna-Willow Bartoli def. Regla Torres 7/6(3), 2/6, 6/3
Regla is 3-10 since Moscow 2010, having struggled since her low-key return to the tour, and falls to hard court specialist Luna - who defends her seed status admirably.

[WC]Sabine Graf def. Yelena Pirilenko 1/6, 6/2, 7/6(3)
Sabine was in danger of falling out of the top 30 after Charleston, but rallied the crowd with her despite the recent Fed Cup disappointment to defeat MM danger Pirilenko in a tightly fought breaker.

[Q]Togtdyalttai Wachiramanowong def. Daria Afanasyeva 7/6(4), 3/6, 6/4
Tog had to go through qualifying as a late entry, but was unfazed as she dismantled the race #4 with excellent serving. A high quality outside court match.

[3]Nthamangela Mbangu def. Caroline Smith 6/1, 7/6(7)
Nthama dropped one of the first eleven games and then the wheels fell off spectacularly. Eurosport viewers were left wondering who choked the most.

Jookkarae Mensarb def. Vittoria Perez 7/5, 4/6, 7/6(4)
Breaks back and forth in a classic clay court match, lasting nearly three hours. Eventually Vittoria found some of her old form.

Verena Jameka Starr def. Rita Cebolla 2/6, 7/5, 6/4
Verena hasn't always brought her A game this season and has fallen to 12th in the rankings, but played solidly throughout the last two sets and dispatched the dazzling Spaniard.

[Q]Marteena Huubere def. Samantha Soren 6/7(3), 7/6(0), 7/6(7)
This is a classic clash - I have 5-3 Huubere since January 2008. They're usually over fairly quickly, but this time both players served exquisitely. As in qualifying, though, Marteena held her nerve on numerous match points before triumphing 9-7 in the final set breaker. Sam has been very difficult to beat this year - only her ninth loss in 29 - but doesn't have the points to show for it.

Håkon

[1]Cornetsson/Johnson def. BYE
For a change after Fed Cup, Siri can congratulate Harper, too.

[6]Graf/Huubere def. G. Benedetti/Raymond 0/6, 6/2, 6/4
Giusa was determined to bounce back after her early singles exit - but Sabine and Marteena played better together and harnessed energy from the crowd to dominate the final two sets.

Mensarb/Young def. [7]du Preez/Mbangu 7/6(1), 5/7, 7/6(6)
Thailand 1 Southern Africa 0. The Asians had done their homework and played superbly on the big points of the tie break - saving one match point before Nthama had to serve to save the match and failed.

[4]Wong/Zianzhi def. Afanasyeva/Kane 6/4, 6/3
It's been a torrid couple of months for Ziyi as singles #1 - she'll stay so as Ruffy can't gain that much from an international - but she gets another few points here with a very solid service performance and is still an outside chance for Istanbul in doubles, too. Jane could set up a run again.

Nemayeva/Perez def. [3]Bartoli/Kartincova 7/5, 7/5
These two work their way up the doubles ranking first. Another solid performance together from Nastya & Vittoria, with Luna too tired from singles.

[5]McKrain/Skankhova def. Harlow/Hernich 6/4, 3/6, 7/5
Clair bounces back from a disappointing singles loss by bossing this one. Elena also showed some nice net play.

[8]Hingisafrilia/Pryde-Degman def. Smith/Wojnarowska 7/5, 4/6, 6/3
Fleri and Kath had a slow spring - five straight losses - but are finding their old form together. Real heartbreak for Caroline tonight.

[2]Pirilenko/Soren def. BYE
Both these players were in third-set breakers in singles and were probably happy to get the rest.

Almost Too Dramatic!

"Well, it was almost too dramatic again in my doubles' first round. Thanks for new high heels from Mensarb and out-of-the-world sun glasses from "Hubere Something".. That made me a bit confident out there on the court though I still didn't get used to them much. Also, thank VSFan1 aka Joshua L., tournament director, for changing the umpire this match. She did bit better than the blind guy yesterday. Thanks anyway.."

http://i.cdn.cnngo.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/624x468_gallery/article-images/large/tata_tennis_2003.jpg

"Importantly, thanks my new coach, Paradorn Srichaphan, for all tactics and PRACTICES that you've been teaching me almost day and night.. I love it,

"Finally, thanks for my "BEAUTY" for making me through the hard time. I AM BEAUTIFUL, Khob Khun Kha (Thank you in Thai)"

Singles Results, Quarterfinals

Berenika Wojnarowska def. [6]Luna-Willow Bartoli 7/6(4), 7/6(4)
Berenika took a cagey first set before the players roared into action in the second. Both players showed high concentration and served well on the tricky surface; eventually Berenika got the mini-break to 4/3 and never looked back.

[WC]Sabine Graf def. [Q]Togtdyalttai Wachiramanowong 1/6, 6/2, 7/5
Sabine rewards the faith shown by the organizers with a stunning performance, taking control after a slow start - a perfect opposite of the match between the two in Miami. It means she scores 100 points in a tournament for only the second time since Roland Garros last year.

Jookkarae Mensarb def. [3]Nthamangela Mbangu 7/6(6), 5/7, 7/6(1)
Mensarb broke a rotten spell of form - 1-9 over the last ten - with a win over Karen Amato, and again she is the stronger in the third set. Nthama will be kicking herself over her lost opportunities early on in the match, her first loss to Mensarb after four straight wins,.

[Q]Marteena Huubere def. Verena Jameka Starr 7/6(2), 7/6(3)
A grinning Marteena is the highest ranking player left, at #16 - yet again she produced a flawless serving performance and has triumphed in five of six tie-breaks in the tournament.

Doubles Results, Quarterfinals

[6]Graf/Huubere def. [1]Cornetsson/Johnson 1/6, 6/1, 7/6(7)
Sabine and Marteena carry their singles form through to win a dramatic three-setter.

[4]Wong/Zianzhi def. Mensarb/Young 7/6(2), 6/1
After a slow start together with three losses, the Chinese girls picked up form together in Fed Cup and produce another solid match to bring Jook's clay feast to a close.

[5]McKrain/Skankhova def. Nemayeva/Perez 7/5, 3/6, 7/6(2)
Clair and Elena are playing well together - a saving grace for Elena's season, she's #49 in the singles race but could still take part in the final stages of the tour.

[8]Hingisafrilia/Pryde-Degman def. [2]Pirilenko/Soren 7/6(2), 2/6, 6/3
Not a good tournament for exhausted Yelena and Sam, who were made to look foolish towards the end of this one. Not a good tournament to be a seed, this.

Singles Results, Semifinals

Berenika Wojnarowska def. [WC]Sabine Graf 7/5, 4/6, 7/5
Berenika reaches her first Premier level final after taking two Internationals this year, and could be the first to three titles. This was a high quality match, with both players showing excellent serving; Berenika seemed troubled when she lost the second, but pulled together a couple of service games at the start of the third to help her relax. More accurate predictions than Nthama, too.

Jookkarae Mensarb def. [Q]Marteena Huubere 6/3, 7/5
Finally Marteena gets broken, after going through the bottom quarter of the draw in innumerable tie-breaks. Jook played to her strengths and played with few errors, taking the opportunities when they came.

Doubles Results, Semifinals

[4]Wong/Zianzhi def. [6]Graf/Huubere 6/2, 7/6(6)
What a day for the home crowd. Huge jeers greeted the umpire's decision to call a Graf volley wide at 5/5 in the breaker; it was clearly out, but the Stuttgart crowd had had enough of watching Sabine lose.

[8]Hingisafrilia/Pryde-Degman def. [5]McKrain/Skankhova 5/7, 7/5, 7/6(2)
It's a veterans final, as three of the four have played since 2004; two-time Slam winners Fleri and Kath have stuck together through a bad patch and are now being rewarded. Another decent match with high-quality serving in particular, but Kath won a few key points at the net.

Singles Result, Final

Jookkarae Mensarb def. Berenika Wojnarowska 6/3, 7/5
Jook was in control of this match from the start, taking the early break of serve and never looking back. Berenika was tired after two big centre court matches, and didn't show herself from her best side, but still advances four spots in the ranking; Jook five.

Doubles Result, Final

[4]Wong/Zianzhi def. [8]Hingisafrilia/Pryde-Degman 7/5, 6/2
Ziyi got due credit for her good play in this tournament from her partner, and continued to play solid doubles tennis throughout this final; Fleri and Kath tried to break through early on but ran out of gas from 5/5 onwards.

Surprise!!! I am very happy with my first champion on clay in FWTT. Actuality, I don't like to play in clay because the ball controlling is harder for me but today is my day, I cad do it. Thank you everybody for supporting. Thank you.
