What is with the Williams sisters in this game :tape: Everyone who takes them turns out to be a demanding diva.

Most games on this board don't last three seasons, this one, with it's incosistent results, is in season 6. The results would arrive on time if the players sent them before the deadline, it's two days after the deadline and I still haven't received everyone's points. I would rather wait then hand out 10 walkovers.

No more bitching about delays. No more bitching that you're not getting the results you want. If you do, you'll be retired. By me. This game can survive perfectly with the core group of players that have been here for multiple seasons, we can do without the whiney newbies, thanks very much.

The only fantasy game older than mine currently is FWTT. As game runners, they should know better than most how tough it can be to remain committed to keeping a game going and I'm sure their results weren't always on time.

My results were always on time. If players failed to send points, it was walkovers. If it happened two weeks in a row, I retired them. I owe it to the players that did send in on time to post when I said I would. If players don't respect the deadlines, they shouldn't be in the game. If you can't get results when you say, a simple message indicating that would be appreciated. It is a respect issue. This is how I ran my game, and why it was still going strong after ten seasons. Since this game can't follow suit and basic respect principals, I do retire. Effective immediately.

Wonderful :D You were a good player and you contributed a lot, but your negative and whiney presence will not be missed.

I do respect my players, I respect the ones who, for whatever reason, cannot be online 24/7 and may miss deadlines, so I extend the deadlines (within reason) to give them a chance to compete. I'm sorry that patience is not one of your virtues. Goodbye. :wavey:

tennisIlove09
Apr 4th, 2011, 10:18 PM
Having patience has nothing to do with it. If you let one player bend the rules, then by virture every player can bend the rules. And then the game is chaotic. This is would be the game doesn't have a consistent tournament schedule or a playing schedule. (For example, in my game ... points were always due Monday. Play started Tuesday. Play always ended on Saturday. This gave players Saturday, Sunday, Monday for new points. Granted, if they lost early they had all week to send in new points. This happened EVERY week, so if a player wasn't around on the computer, for whatever reason, they knew in advance the schedule. I only point this out because this game never has consistent posting. Players have NO idea when the points are going to be due, which is why half of them are late every week, which then delays the results. If you run a tighter ship, you'll have a more consistent game)

I was one of the few players in this game that actually 1 - got points in on time every time 2 - posted articles (win or lose) in every event that I played in and you choose to call me out and be nasty? If you want the core group of players that have been here forever, but do nothing but bitch and attack the new players here, then so be it. I would rather player a game where writing articles and participating means something. No attacked for being a new player or being "negative".

I'm glad your life allows you to stick to this sort of schedule so rigidly, unforunately mine doesn't, but I do my best, as I stated earlier, the only active fantasy game that is older than mine is FWTT, I've seen lots of games where game runners frantically post tournaments/results and then get sick of it after two seasons or even one, I have remained comitted.

And having patience has plenty to do with it, I am aware that players are sometimes made to wait, but there have been times when those players have found themselves delayed but I have extended the deadline to allow them to compete, which they have appreciated, and I said within reason. The only reason I'm still delaying is because Azarenka thought she wasn't part of the draw, I told her she was and have allowed her time to send, is that not respecting the players? I don't extend the deadline by weeks, I'm talking a day or two.

I was one of the few players in this game that actually 1 - got points in on time every time 2 - posted articles (win or lose) in every event that I played in and you choose to call me out and be nasty? I just acknowledged your contributions to the game in my last post? Thank you for that. I do not appreciate, however, players wanting to retire because they aren't winning every event and constant complaints because results are late, that's being negative and that's why I called you out, I don't see anybody being 'nasty'. And as for attacking players because they are new? Do you see me attacking Shvedova or Hercog??? It's your attitude :wavey:

Life happens! That's great if you have all this free time on your hands to be so uptight in your game, but I'm totally with Dav. on this one. I don't think any of the people who actively have played this game sit in the Games section of TF.com refreshing every 5 minutes hoping for results. It's mindless fun and entertainment, and that's the way it should be run and enjoyed. Who cares if it's delayed a day or two? I'm not making any money off being #1 in this game, so who cares?

This week we are in Birmingham. First tourney on grass this year, not your favourite surface is it?

Dominika Cibulkova: In my country grass is for cows to shit on. I still can't get used to play on it.

With recent news on the tour, few players weren't happy with manager. They were talking about retirements, and as I heard Venus even did actually retired.

Dominika Cibulkova: This is fun, because you see, no one cares about them. They come and play 2-3 tournaments and lose 1st round, so they all retired retired retired, and then suddenly they say 'I had very bad period' and are still playing. I don't have to go to circus to see clows, you understand. From the other hand it is amusing. Still can't wait for Radwanska's playboy pics.

There is nothing new really that girls on tour are bitchy. Maybe newbies can't take the pressure?

Dominika Cibulkova: At one point we all were new here, still we are hanging. I am actually happy that those newbies, whining drama queens are stepping off. They don't have the class the sass and the ass veterans do. Just look at Maria [Kirilenko]. I mean, even Myskina.

To make up the bitchiness abit, tell us who is your friend on tour?

Dominika Cibulkova: I get along with most of girls really, but there is one name that has to be said. It is Maria Kirilenko. From day first we did get along. I mean there was this girl, who really was a man, her name was Marco, we both adored her, you understand. Good old times.

Well I see you are busy, going to practise. Some plans for a day off??

Dominika Cibulkova: Right now I am going to practise with Henin. Then most of us go out to have a drink to condole Vee's retirement. Nothing special you see.

I understand that we all have lives but Dav posted when points were due long before they were due. I think the players need to get them in on time. Deadlines are there for a reason. I know that life gets in the way but we had almost a full week to submit new points. Don't try to fool anybody and say life got in the way. I am extremely busy, and I still was able to submit new points. It takes 5 maybe 10 minutes tops.

As for this game being successful, it is very successful but I know tennisilove's game was more successful. It ran for 10 seasons, and had many of the original players from day 1 to the final day. Nobody would randomly switch players or surfaces.

I would also like to say if results cant happen, please let us know.
