so I will 'dare' there once again tomorrow (mainly to watch Turewicz vs Olmos), and will 'gauge the atmosphere' before deciding to watch the doubles :tape:

So Gong is on a tear, beating Krawczyk and Jones, but I promise I won't watch :haha: :hysteric:
So for today I'll recommend (not synonymous with me actually watching )
TUREWICZ vs OLMOS a must ! future Duke vs USC players
KOSTAS vs SCHOLL
GUILLERMO vs FUENTES
for others I can't really say 'cause I dunno much about one of the contestants :tape:
And ALL doubles matches seems to be promising :)

3rd Round
Monica TUREWICZ (USA) (1) defeated Giuliana OLMOS (MEX) (13) 6-3 6-4
Maria SMITH (USA) defeated Sarah GONG (USA) 6-0 6-1
Kyle :help: I don't understand how the girl who stormed into the Cleveland 10k final as a 15 year old is now two years later losing these matches to random junior girls... she is a good player with variety. Her shots don't have much power, but still she's crafty enough to beat most American juniors. I don't even know how successful she'll be in college... only time will tell I guess.

That's what happened when you hardly played anything above U16.

you guys are too harsh on her (and Craft too, for that matter  )
She'll have no problem starting at any top 5 teams,
maybe even top 3 singles (well, maybe not at Stanford :oh: )
Andrews def. Craft 5,4 (Craft is not a 'random' player anymore  )
Turewicz def. Scholl, lost the 1st set comfortably and won the remaining ones...those last 2
were full of errors(mostly Chalena's)
will later post the brief recap after watching ASU at STAN and the doubles final

posted a brief recap.
Scholl (a.k.a. 'Bean' ) is REALLY good....just schooled Turewicz in the 1st before self destructing from the 2nd  doesn't lack firepower AND can construct pts as well..her control was just sublime, literally painting the baseline even when pushing .

so will 'dutifully' watch the final, since Zootennis is covering Springs Intl.
Biszantz Family Tennis Center
= the best tennis court for college in the world
he approached me after the match so had a nice chat with Gaby's father.
I told him Gabs is the 'future' :oh: blatant pandering on my part
well Gabs IS promising, so  )
He said that he worries (heart rate goes up  ) whenever she tenses and make errors during the match, said that normally especially during practices she plays WAY better.
